Hello,
We recently faced some issues with our account. We have an active registered trademark. All our ASINs were in great shape, have A+ content, but suddenly, our brand registry was revoked and the reason Amazon gave us was vague.
[I have created a case with full details: Case ID 16042063761]
They said it could be due to any of the following:
- One or more users on the brand engaging in conduct that violates Brand Registry’s policies, like submitting invalid notices or tampering with the catalogue.
- Users on the brand being related to other Amazon accounts or brands that have violated policies.
- Failure to provide sufficient evidence of branding on our products or packaging.
- Users on the brand having a deactivated selling account.
- Our trademark application is being filed by a firm that might be violating USPTO regulations.
And we worked on all these reasons:
- We had a few secondary users on our account. These were the employees working on the account. We’ve removed all of them. There’s only one email access on the brand registry console and two email access on seller central now. We have submitted a few notices via Report a Violation Tool as suggested by the catalogue team. (Case ID 15723104471) But no action was taken on these notices.
- This is the only amazon account we own, we have not operated another amazon account on our email or our company. We don’t have any violation on the account health page.
- Our products and packaging clearly display our trademark, and we provided evidence multiple times to the catalogue team, account health team, and brand registry support team.
- We used to work with an agency for account management services and we had given them access to the account using secondary account user permission. They have also all been removed.
- Our trademark attorney is not on any order of sanctions nor does the firm violate any laws by USPTO and hold good standing.
We tried to appeal for the revoked brand registry, but the link didn’t work. We also reapplied, but the application was rejected saying that we violated Amazon policies.
CASE IDs: 15925795771 & 15946723781
We then reached out to the Amazon Account Health Team, and they confirmed that we have not violated any Amazon policies that could lead to brand registry removal.
Since our brand registry is revoked, weird things keep happening with our ASINs.
- Brand name on our listings was changed on its own. Now corrected (Case ID 15939959051)
- There are unauthorised sellers selling on our listings. Still not removed, seller support recommends reporting a violation or using the report abuse tool.(Case ID 15723104471).We used the report abuse tool, but no action was taken saying that no violation has been detected.
- Without any reason, our listings were removed, we contacted seller support, talked with multiple teams, provided all documents, [ USPTO Current Active Trademark Document, GS1-UPC, Product Real life Pictures, Letter of Authorization and Self-Declaration, Manufacturing Agreement], they acknowledged that we are not misusing the trademark or violating any policies and then our listings were reinstated. Case ID: 15939959051
- We are receiving Suspected IP Rights Violations for our own brand name and trademark term. Now resolved. Case ID 15939959051
- We have received Restricted Products Policy Violation, stating that our product is a Class I medical device that does not present bilingual, French and English labelling. But our Product is not a medical device and also we are using bilingual packaging for our product. Complaint ID: 16041864191
We have resolved almost all issues, but we are still restricted from editing our listings. One of our ASIN was showing as out of stock even though we had units in stock, now resolved and its bullet points and description are not showing on detail page, We tried to update these using a feed file (Batch ID: 419486019975) status shows as successful but changes are not reflecting on detail page.
Case ID: 15980250651 The Catalogue team says that even though we own the listing, we are not considered the "winning contributor." They stated that our contributions have been sent to the brand owner for approval, I’m the brand owner but since our brand registry has been revoked, we do not have access to the brand registry console to approve these changes. So we are forced to sell on listings without bullets and description, without proper SEO, we are missing out on sales and losing ranking. It is affecting our business severely.
We are stuck with a revoked brand registry and restricted Edit Permissions. We have practically lost control of our account and ASINs. It has been months that we are trying to resolve revoked brand registry and restricted Edit Permissions. We at least need the Edit access to sell properly.
The Account Health Team, Catalogue Team, Leadership Team say that they can’t resolve this issue and the Brand Registry Team won’t give us our brand registry back.
We will appreciate any help to fix this and get the edit access to our listings and brand.
