I recently listed an ASIN at the same price as Amazon's buybox price but it get's deactivated due to Violation of Amazon Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy.

Due to this I am forced to price my inventory at a loss to be active but Amazon can continue to sell theirs marked at the "unfair" price.

Is there a way to see the range of fair pricing for an item before investing in inventory or is it trial and error?
