Requesting a Return to Sender on UPS - Amazon is the 'shipper'. Both Amazon & UPS cs are unhelpful

Case ID - 16371023571 (please let me know if you want the order id & tracking or if it can be pulled from here).

A package is stuck in transit, the buyer is requesting a refund due to INR. We are requesting a return to sender so that it comes back to us.

We reached out to UPS but Amazon is considered the 'shipper' so it will be sent back to Washington & so they said "only the shipper has authorization to change the address. Call Amazon."

We called Amazon and they had NO CLUE what I was saying they kept repeating "We see it is a UPS package. You need to call UPS."

I was even given the "Amazon seller-Dedicated UPS seller Support line" which was even LESS helpful than normal UPS support.

How can I regain control over my shipments? (we only recently linked our UPS account- does this actually help?) What can I do about this package?

Thanks in advance

If this is an FBA order, the item will be returned to Amazon and they will process it and put it back into your inventory.

If this was an FBM order, the item should come back to you. And at the point you should refund the customer.
