So I got an email from the Handmade team about possible search suppression of listings due to the reclassification project.

Upon MY review, I found nothing showing anything was not visible and searchable, so I used the Seller Assistant to enhance my review.

I asked Seller Assistant if ANY of my listings were search suppressed, and it came back saying that none of my listings had any issues that would suppress them in a search, and after looking at a sample of 28/125, they were all buyable and discoverable with no issues. It could dive further into the review, but it would take more time than I had available at this moment - so I'll save that for later when im not actively processing and shipping orders for the day.

I will further looking into a more extensive review using the seller assistant, but this gave me at least a momentary peace of mind about my listings visibility and that the email I received might just be a generic email since there were no listings specifically affected, and the seller assistant also could not find anything with any issues (missing attributes, etc).

I can't really say at this point if it's good or bad, but it was useful for what I was needing it for - despite my abhorence to AI in general - I do believe it has SOME good uses.

I did ask it to check all 125 of my listings, and it only did a check on 28/125 because those were the only ones with traffic on August 1st, which is fine, but I wanted a check on all and it said it would take too long initially. When I ask it to do something, I don't necessarily want a snapshot, I want a full picture... so I'd like to see it offer the options "snapshot" or "full picture" of the issue I was asking about and the time it would take to provide an answer to each if possible.

I have found it useful for predicting demand for the fourth quarter. I did have to tell it that it was hallucinating some sales figures and to try again but it did come up with reasonable numbers in the end. Then I asked it to take into consideration a new certification we just got and it redid those calculations very well. I have asked it for help with keywords. It suggested using other companies' trademarked names in my back end keywords which I think I remember is not allowed. But I used the other terms it suggested. I don't know if it was the backend key words or other things we changed, but our BSR ranking has increased over time.

I tried Seller Assistant to review my account health and was impressed by how quickly it highlighted important areas to monitor. I also asked about the selling requirements for a product category I was interested in, and the guidance was clear and easy to follow.

What worked well was the straightforward, conversational responses and the time it saved compared to searching through multiple help pages.

One improvement I'd suggest is adding more detailed recommendations with direct links to the relevant Seller Central pages or policies, making it even easier to take action.

Overall, it's a helpful tool, especially for quickly finding seller guidance and identifying next steps.

Haven't been impressed so far. There are many "gray" areas and unique scenarios where it was not helpful. AI isn't the end all be all, if the reps were trained properly, or were even accessible, we could all go back to simpler times and get resolutions quicker.

Forcing AI where it is not wanted, and is not useful, is a bad experience.

Needed to make a support request for an issue about images not appeearing correctly for variations and instead was repeatedly blocked and forced to use an AI which was unable to address the issue. Super frustrating and requests for a human only resulted in a loop back to the AI. Finally, after about 5 minutes I was able to unlock being able to make a support ticket.

Incredibly, I got someone apparently in the US and she was informative and was able to immediately resolve the problem in seconds.

AI was an F. American support A.

* Some variation types use non-visual dimensions and others do not. The AI could not address or know which variation types are non-visual and some variation names such as Set Name or Collection Item have no guidance.

Instead of directing me to human support, which immediately knew this and had a resolution, the AI was blocking human support and thus blocking the ability to fix a problem. This seemed more of a limitation forced by Amazon on the AI to reduce support cases.

IMHO the problem was two-fold:

1. The AI lacked information humans have.

2. Amazon forcing the AI to block / increase friction to obtain human support.

I asked the seller assistant to identify which products had seen a decline in sales from last year since my overall sales were down for this month. The response was fairly quick but the information provided was not accurate. The asins and sales $ amounts from last year were showing as $0 which I know is incorrect. So the whole analysis did not work because the assistant was telling me that I was actually selling more this year. I did specify 2025 and 2026 but I do believe it was looking at the last 12 month period instead of the calendar year.

Tried the "review my account health" prompt. It returned my Account Health Rating and status correctly, then gave five maintenance tips (monitor regularly, keep order defect rate low, stay compliant on listings, respond to customer inquiries promptly, keep inventory adequate). It did offer to pull detailed metrics (ODR, shipping performance, policy compliance) for a specific time period, which is a nice touch if you follow up.

I used it for some how-to's I've always wondered about, like downloading prefilled inventory flat files, using only selected SKUs. (this is super simple to do on other marketplaces, but seems to be like pulling teeth on Amazon) The AI provided steps, but the solution it stated would happen, did not happen, and many of the steps were inaccurate or referred to menu options that simply do not exist or are located in completely different areas than described. It also made several fully incorrect suggestions like using the price and quantity template to achieve my stated goal of updating bullet points in volume (wrong). When I asked how to do it - it told me it was impossible to do this (correct).

In my opinion, it needs a lot more training. If all it's been trained on are the help articles - this may explain inconsistencies and incorrect steps - many of these articles are woefully outdated.

It did show me a couple things I didn't know existed however, and that I can use elsewhere, so it does have benefits.

I use AI powered seller assistance every time. It gives me correct answers and provides me links to navigate to.
