[ Case #21795879351] INFORM Act verification failed, portal closed despite updated documents – Is there really no second chance?
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice—and also to bring this issue to Amazon’s attention.
My account is currently active but shows a deactivation warning due to INFORM Consumers Act identity verification failure. The problem is that the submission portal is now completely closed. When I click the “Identity Verification (Reverify)” link, it simply redirects to the “Get help and resources” page with no upload option.
Here’s what I have already done:
Updated my Seller Central “Legal Entity” information to match my current business license.
Prepared all required documents, including:
Two official company name change certificates (showing the full history),
The latest business license (current legal name),
Legal representative’s ID (front and back).
Contacted Seller Support multiple times via phone and case.
Despite having all correct and complete documents, I cannot submit them because the portal is closed. The standard support team keeps sending template replies and has not been able to reopen the portal or initiate a manual review.
My question to Amazon / the forum moderators:
Does the INFORM Act verification system really only allow ONE submission attempt? If the first attempt fails (even when the failure is due to a system issue or an address formatting mismatch), is there truly no way to resubmit corrected documents?
I understand that Amazon performs character-level matching and even an extra space can cause rejection . I have corrected my documents, and my Legal Entity is now updated. But I am stuck in a loop where I cannot even try again.
This does not seem fair or reasonable. The law requires sellers to verify their identity, but sellers should be given a fair opportunity to correct errors and resubmit.
What I am requesting:
Please reopen the verification submission portal so that I can upload my corrected documents; OR
Conduct a manual review based on the documents I have already prepared.
I believe this case needs to be escalated to the specialized verification team or an Account Health Specialist. If any Amazon representative or forum moderator is reading this, please help to escalate case #21795879351.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue—verification failed, portal closed, no way to resubmit even with correct documents? Please share your experience below.
Thank you for reading. I hope Amazon can provide a fair resolution for sellers who are genuinely trying to comply.
Sincerely,
Meetcare

I would like to add one more important observation:
If my Canada marketplace verification was completed successfully, this clearly demonstrates that my identity documents and company information are genuine, valid, and verifiable. The same legal entity, the same business license, the same representative ID, and the same supporting documents were reviewed and approved by Amazon's verification team for the Canada store.
So my question remains:
If the documents are verifiable (as proven by the Canada store approval), why can't the US store grant me a second opportunity to resubmit or allow a manual review?
The US store is still showing the same verification warning, and the portal remains closed. I am not asking for the US verification to be automatically approved based on the Canada result. I am simply asking for a fair chance to resubmit my corrected documents through the reopened portal or via manual review.
If Amazon's verification team has already confirmed the authenticity of my documents for one marketplace, it seems inconsistent to permanently block the same verification process for another marketplace using the same underlying legal entity.
I hope Amazon can review this case with this context in mind and provide a reasonable resolution.
Thank you for your consideration.

Reply to my own post / Update:
Hi everyone,
I have an update regarding my case and a question for Amazon.
I have now successfully completed the identity verification for my Canada marketplace, and my dashboard clearly shows "Verification Completed Successfully."
However, this has raised an important question: If my Canada marketplace is verified, why can't my US marketplace sync with this verification?
Based on my research in the forums, verification status appears to be not shared between marketplaces. Each store (US, CA, etc.) has its own independent verification process. This explains why my US store still shows a pending verification issue while the portal remains closed.
I have also seen reports where a pending verification in one marketplace blocks the verification process for another marketplace in the same region (North America). For example, if the CA verification is still in progress or flagged, the US verification may show a conflict or a "verification lock."
This seems to be the core of my problem: My US verification cannot proceed because the system may be showing a backend conflict caused by the CA verification process.
My request to Amazon / Moderators:
Could an Amazon representative please check if there is a backend verification lock or a status sync issue between my US and CA accounts?
I kindly request that this case be escalated to the technical team or the Seller Identity Verification team for manual review and to unlock the US verification portal.
If anyone else has experienced this issue where one marketplace is verified but another is blocked, please share your story. Thank you!

Hello Meetcare,
I had the same issues with my account being deactivated due to the INFORM Act. I am very new to Amazon and went back to verify my Govt documents (address, contact information) match. I opened a ticket asking what & where documents needed. I talked with a representative and he opened a ticket, but I fell like I am not getting anywhere. If you know how or where to check, please let me know. Thank you!
