I've submitted 100+ tickets to Seller Support with no help.
I simply want to shut down this 20 year old account that has never been used.
Why you might ask?
Well, Amazon shut down my current Seller account because they found this old account.
They want me to reactivate the old account before they will shut it down but will not accept any of the documents provided for no apparent reason.
Correct, you have to reactivate the old account to move forward.
Hello @Seller_dtsEMAbBoNrYA
They want me to reactivate the old account before they will shut it down but will not accept any of the documents provided for no apparent reason.
Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues you have seen. I understand our team has concerns regarding an old account that has been impacted which caused an issue for the current account you are operating. This will be due to the set up of our multiple accounts policy which prevents multiple accounts being operated if one falls into a deactivated status.
As communicated, you would need to take action to resolve the issues on the old account to resolve the issues on the new one. You will not have an option for closing down the account unless you were to take these actions as the account would already be in an inactive status. Would you be able to share more regarding the issue that impacted the old account?
We encourage you to continue to refer to this thread with any future questions or updates that you have so we may continue to provide guidance.
Best,
Atlas
