It’s official, Prime Day 2026 is in June

Make this your biggest Prime Day yet.

We're excited to announce that Prime Day 2026 will take place in June.

Last year's event saw record-breaking sales, with Prime Day 2025 being the biggest Prime Day event ever. Customers saved billions on deals across more than 35 product categories — more savings than any previous Prime Day event. Sellers like you also hit new milestones in both sales and items sold.

Here's how to get your business ready to make the most of it this year:

Submit your deals

Schedule your Best Deal, Lightning Deal, or Prime Exclusive Price Discount through May 26. Best Deals and Lightning Deals submitted by midnight Pacific Time on April 30 receive a $50 discount on the upfront fee.

To schedule a deal, go to Create a deal. For full eligibility details, go to Deals for events and Price Discounts and Events.

Send in your inventory

To ensure your products are Prime-ready by Prime Day, get your FBA inventory to us by these dates:

  • May 27, 2026: Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) shipments
  • May 27, 2026: FBA shipments with minimal shipment splits option selected
  • June 5, 2026: FBA shipments with Amazon-optimized shipment splits option selected

While we'll continue to receive inventory after these dates, late arrivals may not be processed in time for Prime eligibility.

For complete details about Prime Day, including key dates, eligibility criteria, inbound deadlines, and other best practices, visit the 2026 Prime Day Readiness Playbook.

At this point it's no longer an exclusive event and the length of it has diluted the purpose of the event. I'm thinking soon in the not so distant future it will be called Prime Fortnight as the event gets further diluted with more days added and completely defeating the point of a huge exclusive sale with a one day window as originally intended.

Prime Day is not doing Amazon sellers any favors in 2026. This was a neat gimmick that worked in 2015-2016 when Amazon Echoes were brand new and novel, giving people an excuse to buy something cheap, new and experimental. Now Amazon tries to market multi-thousand dollar robots that are the epitome of gimmicky, and most of the Prime Day deals are just glorified overstock and models getting ready to be outdated with new upgraded versions.

No longer possible for us. The "eligible ASINs" are a single low margin, poor selling product we will never include in a prime deal. Meanwhile, products that have done well for everyone (Amazon, customers, and us) during past Prime Days are not eligible.

Amazon's broken seller tech strikes again.

Prime day is just away for more people importing their goods from China to flex their lack of overhead while us manufacturers get bullied into decreasing our already thin margins.

Has anyone else noticed the new Prime Day participation fees this year? Between the $100 setup fee and the additional commission costs, I’m curious how other sellers are feeling about it.
