Reversed reimbursements and no inventory added back
I opened a case 18946561811 about reimbursements being reversed. I was then told that inventory was added back. I checked the reference ids and then the actual inventory ledger and the inventory ledger shows no record of any inventory being added. I also have the products listed and no inventory was added and it shows out of stock. I also had reimbursements reversed from over a year ago with no inventory added back. As the shipments are also over a year old amazon reversed the reimbursement randomly and I can even submit a claim as the claim window has expired. So amazon has no claim window for when they can randomly reverse reimbursements but I have one so when amazon does this I can't even request an investigation! I need a mod to review my case and please help me.

welcome to the club
it's the wild wild west of e-commerce. Like Russian Roulette really because FBA cannot be trusted! Now they are reversing transactions with phantom inventory from 2024 and they think they can get away clean. Maybe they can?????
Disguesting......

I found a couple where the inventory was added back and then removed from shipments from over a year ago so they can claim they never received it and the time frame for a reimbursement request has expired so they will just deny it.

Just terrible, another example of Amazon's exploitation of 3P sellers for direct benefit of their bottom line, it is beyond repulsive. Here is another thread discussing the same issue, mod chimed in and claimed they were working with their super secret internal "partner team":

Hello, Sellers: Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding Reversed Inventory Reimbursements.
Please note that there are many reasons that Reimbursements may be reversed as mentioned on the Reversed Reimbursement help page. It often means it was determined that you were reimbursed in error, and either the units were located later or the shipment had errors.
Please note the units may have been recovered at a different time than when the Reversed Reimbursement occurred.
If you wish to contest a Reversed Reimbursement you can do so by reaching out to Seller Support.
Thank you for your understanding.

Or Amazon is padding their bottom line at the expense of 3P sellers. The utter lack of transparency around this and pretty much every other issue with Amazon is appalling. Everything Amazon does puts the burden of proof back on the 3P sellers with zero accountability for Amazon. As usual, terrible.

Reversing 12+ month old reimbursements for already settled lost FBA inbound is insane. How is that even legal? We are seeing similar instances on our account.
We might have to stop selling on Amazon all together, because are we to expect any old inbound shipment with irregularities (that we provided invoices for) are now going to be blanket reversed over a year later?
