This is an excellent question. Even if your account is inactive, Professional Seller accounts continue to incur monthly subscription fees unless action is taken. However, there's a simple solution to prevent these charges.

If you no longer wish to reactivate your account and want to stop the fees associated with your Professional account, you can downgrade to an Individual account. This action will prevent the recurring charges.

To downgrade, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Seller Central.
  2. Navigate to “Settings” > "Account Info".
  3. Select "Selling on Amazon".
  4. Look for the option to switch from Professional to Individual.

For more information about managing your account, please visit our help page "Close your seller account". This page provides additional details that may be very useful.

Downgrading to an Individual account doesn't mean the end of your selling journey with Amazon. It simply stops the fees while giving you time to consider your next steps.

Note: Deactivated accounts cannot be closed.

Please let me know if you have any questions. The seller community and I are here to help.

Best,

-Roxy
