Brand Registry Rejection & Appel Help - Make It Make Sense!

Hi there forum and hopefully Amazon Help,

Case ID: 17411931171

We are in a vicious loop trying to register our brand on Brand Registry and keep getting a generic response that simply says:

Your appeal for Brand Registry enrollment application "Posterprintshop" has been rejected. Why did this happen? This decision was made since we could not verify the registered business name and business identifier (for example: tax ID number or business ID number) provided by you at the time of submitting the appeal form.

However, everything MATCHES PERFECTLY. We have uploaded to the appeal both times the;

- actual SS-4 form from IRS showing the EIN # provided, which perfectly matches the company name and address given

- the Articles of Incorporation with our state, showing the LLC registered name and address, which matches the above.

- the USPTO receipt, showing the exact same LLC name and address on above two documents, and doing online search on USPTO TARS, the application is live and shows same name and business name as well.

EVERYTHING 100% MATCHES and we're uploading docs that show this. Spelling, address, name, and EIN #'s - nothing is off.

Who can help us get a real answer as to what it is they can't verify? We can't fix something if we don't know what they don't like, and continually responding with "we can't verify" but everything is public, uploaded, documented and matching is driving us insane.

The only far fetched thing I can think of is that the business is a single member LLC and I've heard issues with Amazon's 'automated' systems having difficulty verifying single member LLC EIN's properly, but how do we overcome this when everything matches?

Sincerely appreciate any guidance here as we've spent a lot of time and money to set up the LLC and register the trademark and don't want to throw more $ down the drain changing things if we don't know what Amazon isn't liking about the current setup. This response is so vague.

The case ID is17411931171

Thank you!

Hi @Seller_ZWLp1025gQDMb,

Looking at the help pages, I think there might be some additional documentation that could help strengthen your application. In the "Brand Registry application step-by-step guide" (link), it mentions that some applications require enhanced verification. Beyond the documentation you've already provided (SS-4, Articles of Incorporation, and USPTO documentation), they also look for:

  • Recent manufacturing/supply invoices from the last 6 months that show your brand's product names
  • Product images showing your brand name permanently affixed (they specifically note these can't be mockups or digitally altered images). I noticed your username suggests you might be in print-related products, and the requirement for "real" product images might be particularly nuanced for businesses that often use digital mockups.
  • Documentation of your manufacturing setup

Since your application was rejected, you'll need to create a new one. According to the "Copy and correct rejected applications" section (link), you can copy your existing application info by:

  1. Going to the Brand applications page
  2. Finding your original application
  3. Clicking "Copy"
  4. Adding any additional documentation before submitting

I hope including this extra documentation might help get your application approved. Let us know how it goes!
