Block Buyers
Remember the days of stores having signs that they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone? How hard would it be for Amazon to allow us to block buyers? If I don't want your business ( aka the customer that keeps ordering and returning) then why is that too much to ask? Amazon would have so many more happy sellers. Seriously will consider leaving Amazon soon if the buyer abuse does not stop.

"How hard would it be for Amazon to allow us to block buyers?"
Have you looked up the word 'impossible' in the dictionary?
Amazon is the biggest 'people-pleaser' in the known universe. THEIR definition of 'people' is BUYERS.
" Amazon would have so many more happy sellers."
Sellers are NOT part of the definition of 'people'. Sellers are cannon fodder to be milked for every ounce of blood and every penny in their accounts.
"Seriously will consider leaving Amazon soon if the buyer abuse does not stop."
Start planning your exit strategy because it only gets worse every year. From the looks you haven't even been on here a year and the Amazon extended holiday return season isn't even done yet!
You have the late rush coming yet as 'buyers/renters' ship back stuff at the last minute.

Not just buyer how about an entire state majority of our issues come from business customers from one site who abuse Amazon so if we could we would block entire state or just allow us to charge this one state higher shipping prices like Amazon is charging higher shipping cost to us sellers on orders they know customers will likely claim they do not get!

I hear you.. But like Neverlast said, it is only going to get worse.
I've been here for 24 years. Each year the dumpster fire that is Amazon gets bigger and bigger.
Just keep in mind this unfortunate truth, Amazon considers their sellers to be expendable. Amazon has a deep seated resentment towards their sellers and sees us sellers as things to be used and abused and then discarded and replaced later with cheaper Asian substitutes after we have established new ideas and products.
Life for us sellers is terrible and only going to get worse.

I wish highly that Amazon would implement this feature very soon.

Good luck, after 2 years I've been disillusioned. NEVERLAST said it best.

If Ebay can do it, then cleary Amazon can if they cared about their 3rd Party Sellers and wanted to reduce fraud. Also, if a Buyer falsely claims that you shipped the wrong item; bad website description; etc. and then wants to return the item and have you pay the returned freight, why not ask the Seller if the return reason is accurate? Collect data on the Buyers and if the Buyers constantly lie about the reason for their return, ban the Buyer from Amazon. Not complicated and would be another 3rd Party Safe Guard, again, if Amazon cared about 3rd Party Sellers.

It is beyond common sense at this point. A buyer has ordered our product 17 times and each time returned trash, sand paper, sticks to us. We have been reporting the buyer with the "buyer abuse" feature for several months but they have done absolutely nothing about it. Each case we open tells us the same thing, use the buyer report feature. Definitely wonder how a business can have such unrealistic policies.

Amazon is abusing its Sellers as well and not following policy and allowing customers to commit fraud, lie about return reasons, having us responsible because someone in their household use their credit card or account and did not authorize it ( why should we be responsible for shipping to and from and on top of that try to fight getting our money back through a safety claim). After 14 years on Amazon we are also consideringan exit here, watching sales decline, increasing returns, being told we can't sell something or told/flagged that our price is too high when we're the only seller on Amazon have been selling the same item for a decade at the same price. People buy something use it and then return it indicating they're not happy with the performance after having it from November into January, even worse with high-end holiday decor.
Frustrated as we've put a lot of time and effort into building this business, great service, fast shipping only to have Amazon and a handful of its customers hurt us. Yes, on this platform your item as thr greatest opportunity to be seen...that is, only after someone scrolls way down past sponsored and totally unrelated products. The grass has to be better elsewhere.

Hey folks - I get the frustration about repeat return customers. While Amazon doesn't currently offer a feature that lets sellers block specific buyers, there are some tools and protections in place that might help with what you're experiencing.
When you're dealing with customers who have a pattern of ordering and returning, Amazon does have systems working behind the scenes to identify buyer abuse. The platform monitors things like return rates and claim patterns, and they do take action on accounts that show abusive behavior. You can actually report suspicious activity or potential buyer abuse through your Account Health page in Seller Central using the Report Abuse form.
For returns specifically, there are a few things worth knowing. If you're using Amazon Buy Shipping services for your orders, you get some protection against "Item Not Received" claims when certain conditions are met. Also, depending on your marketplace (US, CA, and UK), you can apply restocking fees in certain return situations, which might help offset some of the impact from serial returners.
I know this doesn't give you the "block buyer" button you're looking for, but Amazon is actively working on improving seller protections. The Buyer Abuse Prevention team (who I've personally worked with) uses machine learning and other tools to identify problematic patterns and take action. If you're seeing the same customer repeatedly abusing the return system, documenting those instances and reporting them can help build a case.

You're under the impression that these customers are yours, and they are not. They are Amazon's and Amz will not allow their customers to be blocked.
