Right now I have 13 pending orders with a number of them being over a month old!

What gives??

Why would any FBA purchase be pending for a month?? I would think after a week of no verification it would be cancelled.

There are 13 with many of them 5, 7, 10, 14 days up to a month old.

This is a marketplace. There are competitors and competitors play dirty each other to make their goods be sold. Yes, i get it. So many dirty vendors were using the simple trick which puts your inventory back to 0 (specially when your inventory is low) and you will be kicked out of the listing " Pending - Awaiting payment verification ". Then they will take your spot or your Buy Box. I'm now having 2 pending orders of same product (twice in a row when my inventory is low). I assume that is not coincidence, that absolutely is an intention.

I hope Amazon will put a limit as maximum as 3 days pending for FBM orders. I believe that there is no one will forget their orders longer than 2 days (by putting item in cart will not subtract your inventory, i tested it). If there is a pending order which is being held longer than 3 days, you definitely got played by your competitor(s).
