This is a continuation from an ongoing issue where amazon lost a 24 unit shipment. This case has been silent for weeks and just got a reply back today saying:
"The attached shipment label shows an expiration date of 06/01/2025, see attached screenshot.
When the shipment arrived 11/19/2023, it should have had 730 days of shelflife left, which would be 11/23/2025,
These units were considered expired upon arrival, as the shipment label shows an expiration date of 06/01/205.
This caused the units to be disposed of."
There was no screenshot included
So amazon threw away over $1200 of product without notifying us or any heads up???? I am hoping this is a junk response that was created from faulty AI like the majority of amazons case replies.
Please help with mods and an actual human being looking into this since this is pretty serious. Our account clearly has the settings set to return any expired product back to us, Even though the product was two years away from the expiry date.
We still need to be reimbursed for these lost units.
Search for similar threads with the help of the search bar on top an tag a mod who was offering help. Otherwise it's not sure that a mod will look at your issue.
So you are requesting a reimbursement because the units have been disposed.
Btw. you can change the shelf life in your listing. This wouldn't have happened if you had set a shelf life of 365 days.
That's not quite how it works, depending on what the OP is selling.
yeah, with a 2 year expiration date I would certainly not set a 2 year expiration date. lesson learned?
True, but that's a fox with a burning tail running through your warehouse. You got some water!
Do you think these might be the 24 units Amazon lost in November? It might be possible that someone at the FC didn't know how to categorize the lost units and called it an expiration issue to protect someone.
I'm not big on conspiracy theories but I do you believe you can often count on people to protect themselves when the going gets tough.
I would tend to doubt that.
Amazon is probably selling them...perhaps through Warehouse Deals.
What no one wants to admit - FBA is the most failed of all failed Amazon concepts/systems. 3Ps are oftentimes cheaper once you factor in shrinkage and the "Amazon Effect"
Hello @Seller_e6CucdxhNXC45. Thank you for that detailed recap. Can you please confirm that you never received any notification about the expiration dates for those products, and that your account was set to have your unsellable products sent back to you automatically in November?
