Hi Sellers,
Connor from Amazon here, I wanted to share information on our Commercial Liability Insurance Requirements as I've seen couple of posts on this from the past few weeks:
Commercial liability insurance will protect you from incidents resulting from the products you sell, and give you peace of mind while you focus on growing your business. Under section 9 of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement, you must obtain and maintain commercial liability insurance within 30 days after exceeding USD 10,000 in gross proceeds in sales in one month on Amazon.com, or if otherwise requested by us.
You may purchase either commercial general, excess, or umbrella liability insurance. When you decide on an insurance provider, your policy should cover all products you list for sale in the Amazon.com store.
Your commercial liability insurance policy must meet all of the following criteria, unless otherwise required by applicable law or regulation:
If you currently do not have liability insurance or are looking for a new policy, you can choose any insurance provider that meets our requirements above. To help you easily and affordably secure liability insurance, we have worked with an insurance broker to create Amazon Insurance Accelerator, a network of insurance providers who will evaluate and, if appropriate, offer liability insurance at competitive rates to qualifying sellers. You can learn more about Amazon Insurance Accelerator and contact the providers here.
As always, we are happy to help in case you have any questions, you can post them below.
Best,
Connor

I am in Ireland, but sell mostly on the US site and use FBA. No insurance company in Ireland will offer insurance on this basis, so I will have to remove my products from sale when I get to about $9500 in any month. Lots of other non-US based sellers are in the same situation.
I contacted seller support to find out what I could do and they transferred my case. That was just over a year ago and no-one has ever replied.
Does "gross proceeds" exclude shipping charges? We're talking about actual item sales? Or are you including pass-through expenses like shipping in that number?
What if no insurance company insures the products and we have replies from several insurance companies as a proof ? Will there be an exemption ?
can't we all agree this policy is just another way for amazon to milk money out of us. who has ever had a claim with this policy? just money down the drain, with amazon get a nice kickback
"Commercial liability insurance will protect you from incidents resulting from the products you sell, and give you peace of mind while you focus on growing your business."
Actually that is incorrect. Amazon requires that the policy covers "Amazon.com Services LLC.and its affiliates and assignees". If you don't have that exact language on the policy Amazon won't accept it.
The inusrance protects Amazon from suit, not the seller. Of course in most cases the plaintiff will go after the deepest pockets anyway.

There are a list if queries here, but you haven't addressed any of them?
What if you had $10000 in one month a year ago but no longer meet that threshold? Is it ok to cancel the liability insurance?
post.whats the email address amazon uses for the 30 day notice?
