I sell on Amazon as FBM. I am a brand owner and only sell my own products. There are no other authorized sellers of my products. All my products listed prior to 8/2017 are eligible for featured offer (formerly buybox). ALL my product listings after that date are not.
So for eight years, I periodically create a support ticket for them to look into this and I always get a very polite form response which basically says this...
We’re not able to discuss all the factors that determine Featured Offer Eligibility but here are some recommendations for you to increase the chances of winning the featured offer:
1. Prevent chargeback claims
2. You must need to lower your price. You can refer to the reference prices that we may share in Pricing Health on Seller Central.
3. Make sure that all your listing policy violations are being addressed in your Account Health Dashboard.
4. Ensure that you are meeting the standard rate for your Shipping Performance and Customer Service Performance.
------------
I have excellent sales health record so these "suggestions" don't apply to me. I've tried lowering the price to $.01 and I've tried offering free shipping. (currently I don't offer prime because my products are low priced and the cost of the prime shipping would be higher than the product itself!!) These tricks never made a difference.
What is confusing to me is that it seems to be pivoted around a date. Why would older listings be eligible and newer ones not?
Over eight years, indeed I have attempted answers more than once for the same issue but that is because I only receive bot answers and no clear explanation. The last ticket resulted in a warning that I am going against Amazon partner policy by asking the same question and expecting a different outcome.
I already had given up but I couldn't resist trying one more time on this issue.
Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue.
Thank you.
So, you don't have other sellers on your listing (hopefully!)
What do you mean then by "featured offer"? Are you talking ONLY about the percents you see on your main dashboard in seller central?
We had something similar come up and found out that Amazon was comparing our listing price to our product listings on another website (in this case, Walmart). Because our listing price on Walmart.com was a few bucks less than our listing price on Amazon, we stopped being the featured offer. Don't know that might apply in your case, but we struggled with that for a bit. Also took a minute because in our case, Amazon had grabbed the wrong item to compare prices with, so we had to sort out some underlying listing issues so they wouldn't keep comparing with the wrong item over at Walmart.
Hi, I have resolved many ASINs facing the same problem
1. I create case in in Get help section
2. Select the specialist
3. Featured Offer
4. Told them that we are Brand owner and only seller of the ASIN.
Most important: As reference I gave them the our own website links where we are selling the products at the same Price
(If you don't have Your Own website, You can Go with Shopify)
Try that method It worked for US many times
Even more convincing is a screenshot of the GS1 search showing the UPC used to create the listing and of course showing as UPC owner the seller account owner.
Good Afternoon @Seller_M9EXjsMD6jxCn, it looks like you were able to get some support from other folks here on the forums about Featured Offer Eligibility
If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.
I have located the Selling Partner Support case ID that I believe you were chatting with support on (CASE ID ending in 6361). In general we are not able to provide any details regarding the Featured Offer, however I have requested a review of your Featured Offer Eligibility for the ASINs shared on case 14300494921.
I won't be able to share the specific results of the investigation but I will indicate when the review is complete. In the mean time, if you would like to learn more about Featured Offer you can check out these two help pages below:
While your case is being review, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and I look forward to sharing when the review has completed soon.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
