Brand Name Change Inline With Amazon Brand Name Policy

Hi,

I have repeatedly requested a brand name change for ASIN B09D9PT63Z, and my latest request is logged under case number 15382519081. Despite my efforts, this request has been denied for benign reasons.

The request is in line with Amazon's Brand Name Policy, which states, "The brand attribute on a listing must match the name of the brand that produced the product." Our products are branded with "LEMON" (all capital letters), as clearly reflected on the product packaging, in the product images on the listing pages, and signified by our products' GTINs.

During the initial listing creation, we encountered issues related to the trademark and Amazon Brand Registry, preventing us from setting the correct brand name. These issues have now been resolved, and we have full rights and recognition as the brand owner within Amazon Brand Registry.

I am seeking assistance from the Amazon personnel to escalate this matter and ensure the brand name update is processed in compliance with Amazon policies. This change is crucial for maintaining consistency and accuracy on the platform and enhancing the customer experience.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Cha

Good Evening @Seller_yHTUBdoZFiypV,

The information provided on CASE 15382519081 by support is valid per the Amazon Generic Product policy.

Can I change the brand string on my product from "generic" to branded, or branded to "generic"?

As part of Product detail page rules, if you create a new product with the brand string "generic", or its local translation, the brand string cannot be changed later. Brand string changes from "generic" to branded, or branded to "generic" are not allowed to protect the integrity of the product. If you choose to re-brand a product, you must create a new product rather than updating an existing product. This is true even if the product is unbranded and does not change materially after the brand string change. This includes branding a previously unbranded product.

Based on the above information a new ASIN will be required to relist the product. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about the information shared above. Have a fantastic rest of the week.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
