1. Will we ever have the ability to CREATE a customization template via csv file that includes image links? What I mean is the current template csv file upload does NOT support visual customization options, which is where the image links would be needed, similar to how you insert image links when submitting a product file update.
2. Will we ever have the ability to APPLY a customization template via csv file to corresponding SKU/ASIN?
3. Can we get a column in the 'manage inventory' page that tells you the name of the customization template and date the template was applied?
4. Will we ever get analytics for customization? What I mean is that I wish I knew which version of my customization options have a higher conversion rate than others. And unfortunately Amazon does not give a history log that tells you which customization set you applied and when, so manually tracking this is also unnecessarily time intensive. It seems like a no brainer that it would be in everyone's best interest if Amazon just provided some basic analytics like they do with most things.
--------
The single biggest thing holding me back from expanding my custom catalog is the amount of time that's required to handle both tasks in #1+#2, which is made worse by a lack of analytics in #4 that would justify IF the effort you spent on manually doing #1+#2 was even worth it.

Q: How can a buyer pay for additional items, items outside catalog or services? A.k.a 'create a custom payment link'.
Examples:
1. Often buyers would come after placing an order and ask, oh, can you print on the backside of the card? Yes, technically we can, but we have no mechanism to collect this additional payment, which is considered more of a service, rather than an item.
2. A small business owner makes handmade body butter and has designed their own labels in Canva. They need a few printed labels in very specific, uncommon sizes — for example, 3 labels of one size and 5 of another. Without the option to create a custom payment link, there’s no way to process these requests.
3. A customer orders 100 wedding invitations and later realizes they need just 5 more. However, the listing starts at a 20-pack minimum, making it inefficient to place a new order. A custom payment link would allow the seller to charge only for the 5 extra invitations and waive any duplicate shipping fees
Q: Do you consider multiple fields selection for conditional logic in the customization templates? ("And", "or" conditional logic)
At the moment this is limited to only 1 selection. Example: If "Color" is "Black".
It would be lovely to be able to apply condtional logic if "Color" is "Black" AND if Size is "Small". Two conditions at the same time.

Bottom part: I think Amazon Custom templates are pretty good compared to other marketplaces. We can see these are improved over the time and I love the last feature to be able to file upload options. It saves so much time!

We customize name brand knives with full authorization from the manufacturers. We are authorized sellers with brand registry rights. These items that are custom require GTINs, but in reality should have a GTIN exemption. We have had issues creating items with our brand's GS1 gtins, getting 8572 errors, and have been unsuccessful getting GTIN exemption for these branded items. Is there a Custom Team liaison that could help with this with the Brand team? We are an SAS Core seller, and even our account manager is having difficulty navigating this.

We have two issues related to custom products.
1) We are having an issue where our prices for customized products (engraved) are being compared to non-customized base model prices from other sellers, resulting in our listings being suppressed for high pricing. Amazon is not taking into account the added cost and value of the engraving service which requires specialized equipment and skills. Is there a solution for this in the works?
2) For customer data input such as graphic uploads, there are many instances where a customer uploads an unusable graphic or photograph, and we need time to contact them to resolve the issue to obtain a workable graphic instead. However, we are time limited and penalized if we cannot get in touch with them and the order ends up being late. This also applies to them adding contradicting information (like two different years in their wedding date).
When these issues happen, either the order goes late, or we have to cancel the order. Either way we are negatively impacted via late order rate or cancellation rate.
We propose having some kind of window to contact the customer and resolve any issues with their data input where we are not expected to have the item shipped until they reply.

hello, must we have an Amazon Pay to sale on Amazon? Do we have to have a URL link even if we haven’t sold anything yet?

I spent a lot of time setting up customization options and placing informative sentences defining what each option is intended for, yet these "descriptive sentences" for each option do not display on Mobile devices unless the buyer taps the "i" icon. This results in users misunderstanding the option and selecting either the default or an option that does not suit them. This can result in general ill-will from the customer and bad product reviews. My question is this: will the mobile customization interface ever be changed to make these descriptive sentences about each customization option more easily visible to buyers?
Will customization options ever work similarly to how A+ content works where we can download a list of asins per template that the options are (or have been) applied to?
In every customization template I include a freeform text box for the buyer to provide some notes regarding his desired product. Many times theses notes from the buyer make it clear that my product, even WITH the customizations chosen by the buyer, will most definitely not work for the buyer's intended use. How can I make this clear to the buyer when most buyers never look at their messages? Sometimes buyers have restricted all messages and I can't even send that query. Will Amazon ever implement a messaging override for custom products to allow pre-shipment critical messages to be sent to the buyer at a minimum? What are Amazon best practices here? My custom products are not inexpensive - should we make and ship it anyway?

1) I sell large print items that require large high quality print files from customers exceeding the maximum allowed by Amazon (15mb) or a file type not allowed like PDF, EPS, AI or SVG. Will there ever be a time where these file types are allowed? Because of this we almost always have to contact the customer for these alternative files or have to put in extra work to make sure the low quality jpg looks good when printed by enhancing it.
2) The current template feature is great when using the exact same template on a similar product. But when using it on a new product then it doesnt work well. It would be great to have template blocks that can be used on any product. Example: Be able to save the sections as templates instead of the whole template to be able to use only the needed sections on a new product.

Just saw this awesome customization by a Vietnam seller ASIN B0FTM8684Q
Customization includes paying different amounts of tip payments and because of the customizations product is not returnable.
Let us know if this is ok or not. If ok I'll start doing this for my stickers.

Is there a standard lead time? Does Amazon actually stick up for sellers on the 'no returns on custom products'?

Hello! Our listing will not show swatches in search. This is a technical hurdle that we cannot figure out. We've tried different templates, different variation themes... nothing works. Competition in our category shows swatches occasionally, but we cannot replicate this with our setup.

An example competitor listing above. When searching this ASIN, results show swatches under the main image. Ours does not despite reconfiguring to specifications like shown here.
Is this something that's limited to the category we've been reclassified under or are there any technical specifications you can share that we could try to get our listing to also show swatches in search?
