Hi Fellow Sellers,
I’m facing a critical issue related to Amazon’s promotion system malfunction and desperately need your input or suggestions. Here’s what happened:
1. The Problem
On [2025.3.13], I launched a promotion with a fixed budget of $1000.
Due to Amazon’s budget monitoring failure, the promotion continued running after the budget was exhausted, causing the item price to drop abnormally (to nearly $0 in my case).
Malicious buyers exploited this glitch:
Placed 2 orders within [1 minutes]
Most orders were canceled immediately after shipment, draining my inventory.
Total loss: $12000 (including FBA fees & inventory cost).
2. Amazon’s Confusing Response
I contacted Seller Support immediately but was redirected to the "Report Violation" form (meant for reporting other sellers). After clarifying, I’m still stuck in a loop with automated replies.
3. My Actions So Far
Suspended the promotion & pulled down the ASIN.
Compiled evidence:
Promotion settings screenshots
Order timelines (attached screenshot blurs sensitive info)
4. Seeking Your Help
Has anyone encountered similar promotion glitches recently?
Any advice on escalating this effectively?
Should we collectively push Amazon to:
Add budget overrun protection?
Allow manual emergency stop for promotions?
This isn’t just about my store – it’s about Amazon’s systemic vulnerability that harms all sellers. Let’s share experiences to force accountability!

Update: Amazon claims they "can’t cancel payment pending orders", but these orders are DIRECTLY caused by THEIR system error. How many sellers must suffer before they fix this?
