Amazon wants me to pay them 12k .....

I’m reaching out for urgent assistance regarding an ongoing issue with my account. About a week ago, I noticed a negative balance of $16,000 in my account's reserve fund, which I found quite confusing. I contacted Seller Support and was informed that other sellers were experiencing similar issues and that it would be resolved promptly.

However, a week later, the reserve balance has only decreased further to $12,800 due to recent sales. I contacted Seller Support again for an update, and they informed me that the issue is related to incorrect dimensions and weights for my boxes as reported by the shipping carrier.

I’m extremely concerned because I’m currently not receiving any funds from my sales. Amazon is my sole source of income, and this situation is making it impossible for me to cover essential expenses, including my car payment for this month.

Can anyone please provide immediate assistance or guidance on how to resolve this issue? I’m struggling to manage my financial obligations and urgently need a solution.

Yes, you will have to pay after all. This money is a guarantee of those sales that you have you were. Then time will pass and they will be returned to you.

What service do you use? Fedex? UPS? USPS?

Hi

I feel your pain, and I’m right there with you. It’s crazy how often we, as sellers, have to face these kinds of issues without getting any real help from Amazon. You put in all your time, energy, and money into this, and they hit you with errors that threaten your entire livelihood. It’s not just a minor inconvenience when your income gets stuck—it’s devastating, especially when you're trying to keep up with bills like car payments.

Amazon needs to take this seriously, and we shouldn’t be left hanging without proper support. I’ve been in a similar situation where it felt like no one was offering real answers, just “wait” and “we’re working on it” while the problem gets worse. You’re not asking for a miracle—just for them to fix something they broke.

Hang in there, though I know that’s easier said than done. Keep pushing, and don’t give up. Hopefully, they’ll sort it out for you soon before things get even worse.

You clearly explained that amazon said the "the issue is related to incorrect dimensions and weights for my boxes as reported by the shipping carrier."

No offense but it clearly sounds to me(based on what little info you gave) that you either purposely misrepresented the weight/dimensions of your shipments in order to save on shipping costs, OR you don't know what you're doing and are now over your head!

Either way you're in deep trouble. There's no easy way out of this one!

Hopefully you took what customer service said with a grain of salt.

They have no more idea what is going on than you do.

I don't see where you gave the Amazon mod the case number.
