Not able to create listings for certain ASINs - "SKU does not match any ASIN"

I currently have 3 units stranded in FBA all for the same reason - "Missing SKU". This is because I have no listings for these items, because I am seemingly unable to create them.

When I attempt to create them manually via "Add Product", it appears as though the listings are created and I even receive the email notifications telling me the listings have been created, but they never actually appear in my inventory.

I then had the idea to try and add them via upload, but when I do that it gives me this error - "SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid values for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN. New ASIN creation requires the following attributes, for which this SKU provided invalid attribute value(s): merchant_suggested_asin."

The only help seller support has been so far is this - "Wait for 24 hours post which, please relist this ASIN with the same SKU in stranded inventory but without the merchant_suggested_asin attribute. This will fix the issue you are facing with listing the product." - but I have no idea how to list an item without this attribute, and I'm worried that he must be talking about listing the actual product, as in the product page, and not a listing on the product page which is all I'm trying to do.

Any tips/help/ideas? I have no idea what to do now.

When you are trying to do it via upload, are you citing the ASIN as the product ID?

@Glenn_Amazoncan you help me with this? I am getting absolutely no where with seller support. This is some kind of technical issue with these ASINs which doesn't affect only me. I've had other people try to create listings for these ASINs and they received the same error.

Seller support has me running around providing them all kinds of information about the brand and UPC owner for the ASINs and now they're asking me to provide documentation that the brand and UPC owner are affiliated, as if I am the brand owner or something. I just want to add my listing to these ASINs like I have already done thousands of times.

My case# is 13253909291. Thank you.

Here is a thread from 3 years ago with tons of people who had the same problem, and no solution was posted

Hi there @Seller_124O1M212asix- thanks for starting this discussion on forums. It does seem like this error occurs when a feed file includes a Product ID that isn't affiliated with the provided brand name. There is some guidance in this help page covering some steps you can take before resubmitting the listing details.

Can you confirm if all steps from those instructions have been completed? I took a look at the case ID you provided but wasn't able to confirm.

Thanks, I hope this helps, and do keep us posted on progress!

Best,

Danny

Up to 6 stranded units now, will go up to 7 soon and over 10 after the FBA shipment I did yesterday. I am approved to sell all of these items but the listings simply never appear in my inventory. Had several friends who are also FBA sellers try to list some of these and they had the same result, the listing just never appears.

I do not own these brands. I do not control these ASINs, I don't control the GTIN, the UPC, the Brand, the Manufacturer, anything. I am just trying to add a listing to these ASINs. There is something wrong with them which is not allowing sellers to create listings for them.

Just as an update to anyone who reads this in the future, I was finally able to get all my ASINs fixed after my case was escalated. Paul from Amazon had an "inventory team" look at the problem ASINs and they did something to them that fixed them and made it so I was able to successfully list them.

I figured I would add this since all the other threads about this issue ended with no posted resolution!
