I take pride in our Brazilian Keratin Treatment, the best-seller on Amazon Brazil, correctly titled "Brazilian Keratin Hair Treatment" and formaldehyde-free. However, many competitors put "Brazilian Keratin Treatment" on their titles despite being made in the USA, misleading customers. Additionally, their products often contain formaldehyde. Are sellers allowed to do that? It's like selling French wine with grapes from the Bronx. What are your thoughts? I appreciate any advice or insights on addressing these issues and maintaining market integrity. Thank you!
There are a lot of sellers making such false claims. You may report an issue with product like I did. But nothing happens as per my experience. Please share your experience if you do the same.
Hello @Seller_wqMpZ4MB26IAt,
Thanks for letting us know about this. In general, sellers should not be allowed to misrepresent a product or brand, and most likely actions taken against them hasn't happened yet. Amazon has many programs, strategies, and enforcement procedures to take actions on Sellers violating Amazon policies. However, given the size of the catalog it sometimes takes time before issues are identified by Amazon's systems. If you see content that is in violation it is recommended to Report a Violation.
Any investigation is internal, so it will not be possible to provide updates, but Amazon regularly takes enforcement actions on Sellers violating these policies.
Thanks for your understanding.
