I was denied registration to sell genuine products that had been approved by the brand owner, case ID: 15906988221

"I understand you are concerned about 5461 error where you are unable to add a product.We have completed our review of your application and have concluded that it does not meet the criteria for approval at the moment. We see that you are trying to create a listing for one of the brands which is currently restricted. We are currently not accepting applications to create ASIN(s) for the provided brand name "GIK".I recognize that this is not the result that you were hoping for, but I want you to know that I did my best to provide you with the correct information based on our current policies.Kindly accept our apologies as we understand that this may not be the response you would have anticipated.

I appreciate your patience, co-operation and understanding on our process and policies."

I received a rejection for the approval to upload new products. I have provided all the images and documents as required by Amazon, and I have the authorization letter to sell the products from the brand owner. It seems like Amazon doesn't want sellers to create ASINs for registered brands, and this appears to be an automated rejection email. I've purchased a large number of products from this brand, intending to sell them through FBA. It would be a disaster if these products are not allowed to be sold. mI'm really worried, please help me.

If the brand has brand registry, they need to add you as an authorized person. Or they need to create the listings.

Thanks for posting regarding your issue.

Generally, I have seen sellers submit one brand selling application and then get feedback from the review team if more information is required.

Once rejected the team requests new or additional documentation on that same application. Continuing to reapply for the same brand on new cases may be the reason why you are receiving the rejection notifications.

I did want to provide the a link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured.

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

A letter of authorization (LOA) can also be a valuable addition to your appeal in these situations If you’re sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

I also wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.
