Read onlyHas anyone noticed that we as sellers are paying commission to Amazon on the GST charged on our product prices. For example: We have a product "A" which we sell for Rs.100 + say 5% gst. Now the total product price is Rs.105/- (i.e. Rs.100 + Rs.5 gst). Technically amazon should charge commission on the gross amount of the product i.e. Rs.100 in this example, but amazon charges commission from sellers on the total product amount i.e. on Rs.105/-.
So, as per the above example we paying commission to amazon no the GST which is going in the pocket of government. And yes then we are again paying gst on the commission amount!!
Please share your views on this, is it correct on part of Amazon to charge commission on GST?
Thanks in advance

Yes, you're absolutely correct and this has been known to me for years. I've raised a few cases in regards to the same but to no avail. Amazon is not supposed to and cannot collect commission on the GST amount. They should charge Commission on the Basic Sales amount only, which they differ to agree upon.
Yes, I noticed when I started selling on Amazon. But Amazon never listen seller's feedback. We are just giving commission to GST also. Worst service.
Bat toh sahi he sir aapki
let raise this issue to higher authority
Yes
I had a word with Amazon for this.... they say it is their standard operating procedure.
I even took a legal action for this... but nothing happened.
There's nothing you can do
