Fake organic claims

Our violation report for fake organic claims was rejected because "no violation was found". We know for a fact that the products reported are not organic. Is there a way to get some action in cases like this one?

Hi @Seller_Zw8LsZUQSH440,

I understand your frustration about the rejected violation report. The USDA has strict regulations about organic claims, which you can find in the "Organic Products" help page here: Organic Products Policy. According to this policy, products labeled as "organic" must:

  1. Be certified to USDA organic regulations or equivalent international standard
  2. Comply with organic labeling requirements
  3. Identify the name of the product's certifier

Since you know these products aren't organic, you might want to try submitting a new report with more detailed documentation. The "Report a Violation" help page (Report a Violation) outlines what to include:

  • The store/business name of the seller
  • ASIN and product title
  • Evidence from the USDA Organic INTEGRITY Database showing the products aren't certified
  • Any other documentation proving the products aren't certified organic
  • A clear explanation of how this violates USDA organic regulations

Hope this helps!

Best regards, Michael
