Read onlywhy amazon not removing fake reviews are they get paid for that
Amazon will not remove fake reviews, even if reported, because they negatively impact a seller’s listing. This forces sellers to spend more on ads to recover rankings—exactly what Amazon wants.
Have you ever noticed that Amazon’s commission, shipping, and refund charges combined are almost the same as what they earn from a regular sale (even without a return)? On top of that, advertising expenses take up around 25% of the selling price. In total, around 55-60% of the selling price goes to Amazon’s pockets.
If a seller resells a returned product, Amazon charges all these fees again—commission, shipping, return charges, and ad spend—meaning the cost of selling a returned item can reach 120-130% of the original selling price. In the end, Amazon profits whether the product is sold once or multiple times... seller is loosing every point- additionally ATS stealing products.
