DD+7 - March
I will be closing my amazon seller's account when the DD+7 starts in March. Can someone give me the best, easiest steps in going about leaving the platform? I tolerate a lot with return scams, etc, but DD+7 is a bridge too far for me.
Thanks in advance.

I've been on that program for a couple years. You get paid the same technically, its just postponed a month or so, and the bi-weekly check actually decreases if your sales are increasing. Once your sales stabilize or go down, your payment evens out. For that reason, if you take a week off on vacation, you may get a larger payment than normal. Its almost calculated as if all your orders that week were to be returned, you have enough reserve fund. Bummer, but it is what it is.
If you close or delete listings. You would have to keep paying the monthly subscription fee until all reserves are timed out most likely. As in, the waiting period after the last delivery for return / chargebacks is covered.
I'm not positive that is true, but from the math I'm seeing on reserve, that seems to be the case.

Well, you're a bit late, as it takes 90 days after your last order is delivered before you can close your account.
But since you would rather give up receiving money rather than waiting longer for it, you need to go ahead and delete all your listings. Submit removal orders for any FBA inventory (this will, of course, incur a fee). Then 90 days after your last order is delivered, you can close your account.

In addition to what @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrwsaid about the process --
" Submit removal orders for any FBA inventory (this will, of course, incur a fee). "
it can also take MONTHS if any inventory is spread across the universe by Amazon so THEIR buyers can get things within an hour...

Sorry, I thought you wanted to close your account. This is a fine way to handle it.
Of course, you're still giving up money. But your choice.

The DD+7 policy will be scary situation for all of us. I do hope Amazon will do something about it and stop the policy measure.

That's fine. No problem here. Just seems like an odd one; sorta like my former co-worker who refused to get EZ-Pass, even though it had a 10% discount, because then THEY would have her money before she went through the toll booth.
Personally, I don't see it as a big deal, but to each his own.

I am also closing my Amazon account. 90 days after last sale and 0 usd on the account.
I think that Amazon is working against sellers, trying to get as much money as they can while sellers are pushed in the corner with expensive ads, fba fees and other money extracting policies.
Also returns from buyers are ilogical... accepting and destroying a returns that was damaged by the buyer and then all the costs fell on the seller. This will lead to buyers scamming the sellers to abuse products for 2.8 months and then returning them. Absurd policies. Do not recomend Amazon as selling platform anymore.

I need to do same. Amazon is crap. I don't care what I lose at this point. I will take the loss and chock it up to being scammed.
