Read onlyGreetings! My account was deactivated due to a potential IP complaint, I completely understand what we did wrong, however these specific ASINS were deleted from my inventory months prior to receiving this warning, which is why I deleted the ASINS in the first place; to rectify the error and avoid any potential negative effects! However, my account was just deactivated! Anyone know why this happened or what I can do? Please keep in mind that these ASINS were deleted from my inventory a while ago! Yet I just got deactivated because of them.
Just because you delete the ASIN's doesn't mean you aren't responsible for the ones you already sold even if you deleted them.
Amazon has a LONG institutional memory and records of everything that you ever posted for sale (or even tried to post for sale).
There have been lots of horror stories on here about sellers being suspended for things that were deleted years prior.
Once Amazon starts digging they go on forever it seems.
Just go back a couple years for the sellers that were caught dropshipping and Amazon actually gave them a chance to sell but only by doing FBA. Many of them were subsequently permanently removed after Amazon found additional problems that had not been addressed previously.
If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.
Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.
They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.…………....
I've heard multiple stories just like yours; it can take significant time for everything to work through the system.
Not sure if I've heard one that was over a year, but at least one was 11 months after deleting the listing.
Amazon is no longer very forgiving of anyone caught (or even suspected of!) breaking the rules.
Best of luck recovering from this. Perhaps your pro-active stance will give you at least a chance of an appeal.
Hi @Seller_mitYZE4dLh4Zu,
I hope this finds you well. I greatly apologize for the delay in response here.
I understand your account has currently been suspended due to potential intellectual property misuse.
While deleting a listing can sometimes be the best corrective measure, there are other circumstances in which this will not suffice a policy violation. This is especially true when repeated instances of the same type of violation occur. Did you have multiple instances of this prior to the suspension of your store?
Were you the ASIN creator? If there are violations to the listing itself, whether you created this two years or even further back in time, you still might be susceptible to the policy violation at hand.
Do you have a licensing agreement or letter of authorizationfor this specific intellectual property?
If you could, please provide a copy of the notification you have received as well as any relevant case IDs. The notification you received should provide you with how to address this and work towards reactivating your store.
All the best,
Stevie.
