Hello dear sellers and mods.
We as Auto part sellers send Amazon our fitment data using somw 3rd party providers like one below. Now Amazon is saying that they are no longer going to accept fitment data from 3rd party selling partner APIs. One company I am using send us emails that they are authorised by Amazon, but I could not find any info that verifys that. I don't want to lose my fitment data on amazon overnight. Is there any one who knows anything about this issue. Thank you.
Hi @Seller_97UT4SH0n8LCJ,
I did some quick research on this and wanted to share what I found:
1.) In the SP-API documentation (https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/listings-feed-type-values), there's a specific feed type for automotive fitment data:
Interestingly, there's no deprecation notice for this feature, which would typically be announced for such a change.
2.) The Automotive Fitment Manager (AFM) mentioned in the email isn't new - there is a seller forum discussion about it from two years ago (https://sellercentral.amazon.ae/seller-forums/discussions/t/20841333-b0c6-4a26-98c5-d886094f4b22).
Given these findings, I'd suggest not making any hasty decisions. It might be worth investigating this further.
Kind regards, Michael
