$0 sales today

I've been selling books for over 5 years; new and used. Low ranking and high ranked. I have over 100 titles and today for the first time I haven't made not one sale. Is there something going on today that I didn't know about? Am I being throttled?

If you have about one hundred titles and have an order every day that is outstanding! And very unusual.

As others have stated, an inventory of only 100 books is tiny. I have a few thousand (which makes me a very small seller), and until a couple of hours ago, thought I might have a zero day (and not the first one this year).

Summertime is a slow time for books, and sales on Amazon seem to slow down overall the week before Prime day, as everyone is waiting to see what the deals are before they shop.

I have over 100 titles and large quantities per title if that helps. No I don't sell cheap, I price competitive, and I've never experienced a $0 sales day before so this is odd to me. On average I sell between 20 to 50 or more books a day. For the past month it's been 10. I started to get worried with that and finally $0. I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but something is fishy.

Okay, so you have a small selection of best sellers. That's quite the different business model of most of the booksellers here, who sell used books, so rarely have more than one of a title; and they aren't generally books on the NYT Best Seller list at the time. So hard to compare your business to the rest of us.

If anything, I would guess that the pre-Prime-Day lull might actually affect you more than it does the rest of us, since you are selling New books, which have plentiful choices.

And keep in mind; unless you are selling trashy romance or other "beach reads", summer tends to be pretty slow for book sales; no conspiracy needed.

So far, it's 0 for me too. Even though I have 92% buybox. Never went this high ever. I guess people are just enjoying the weather on the beach and they don't bother with online shopping. :-)

We had a surprising excellent day yesterday afternoon/evening. I assumed we'd have nothing today-or at least for 24 hours-because that's the way it goes. Sprinkler is on for a day-then sales are suppressed!!

Today, so far, my intuition is correct.

Keep in mind there is a reason prime day is in july, sales are generally slow this time of year. I typically won't take vacations until after july 4 for that reason. GOOD LUCK!

I don't like July because a member day discount would make all previous orders stop
