Read onlyLooking for ways to be more environmentally conscious, lower FBA fulfillment fees, and put your brand forward? Look no further than Ships in Product Packaging (SIPP).
If you already have products enrolled in SIPP, sound off in the comments with your feedback!
What is the benefit of enrolling a product in SIPP?
The SIPP program allows FBA sellers to ship products in their custom-brand packaging without Amazon-added material. This reduces excess packaging for a better customer experience while reducing the carbon footprint and costs associated with fulfillment. Amazon also offers lower FBA fulfillment fees when you enroll products to SIPP (there are no Amazon fees to enroll in SIPP).
The SIPP program is available to sellers that sell into Canada, United States, Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, and France.
Why are some of my products already shipping without Amazon-added packaging?
In effort to reduce packaging waste, Amazon's fulfillment network has a program that utilizes machine learning to identify, test, and then certify SIPP compliant products without sellers needing to take any action. Products certified in this way also qualify for the discounted FBA fulfillment fee when shipped to customers.
See flexible SIPP guidelines and rigid SIPP guidelines for exclusions.
What is the customer experience?
Customers will see a message that indicates that the product can ship in its own packaging during checkout for products that are SIPP-certified. They are also presented with a concealment option for the majority of products at check-out meaning they can choose to add Amazon packaging at no additional cost.
