An old account isn't necessarily an advantage or a disadvantage.
I'd first ask why there are no sales.
Is it because there were never any listings, the listings aren't getting traffic, or they aren't converting?
The next step depends on the answer

If it's an old and inactive account, Amazon will certainly ask you first a re-verification. If you are NOT the one who created that account then forget it.
