Countries
Read onlyHello,
Like many others on the forum, I am unable to change the country on the Legal Entity page. I have contacted Seller Support multiple times before and received different responses. Some said that if I complete the Tax Interview again with my new company details, my information on the Legal Entity page would be updated automatically. Others told me that country changes are not allowed at the moment.
Currently, my account is fully updated with my new company details, except for the Legal Entity page. I even received an email confirming that my Tax Interview has been approved, but the transition still hasn’t been made. I am also sharing my last case ID, and I am still waiting for a response: 17428437601.
If sellers are not allowed to change their country, why do I see some users who were able to do so? Or why isn’t an alternative solution provided? Since my account already contains my new company details, I am also afraid of getting suspended if I open a new seller account. This is because, as I mentioned earlier, I was previously informed that completing the Tax Interview with new details would automatically update the Legal Entity page. This information was given to me before I was told that country changes are not allowed.
Can I please get clear guidance on what my next step should be? Right now, I am either delaying or putting my business on hold because I cannot make this change. Please help me understand how to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance.
Best,
Sinan.
Because that's not allowed. The "Legal Entity" can be changed from your private name to your Single Member LLC established in the same country.
Yes, that's exactly what will happen.
1. Sell out all your inventory or create removal order.
2. Wait 90 days.
3. Properly close your actual seller account. Save Amazon's confirmation till the end of your days.
4. Create a NEW seller account with your new credentials and a new email address.
If this new seller account is a Single Member LLC in another country, think about how you want to provide a utility bill (electric, water, gaz etc.) for this new LLC.
