How to find verified wholesalers for Amazon ungating?
Hi everyone,
I’m an Amazon seller looking for legitimate U.S.-based wholesalers that provide Amazon-compliant invoices suitable for ungating and brand approval.
I want to make sure I work only with verified distributors and avoid gray-market suppliers or payment methods that could cause issues later.
If anyone can share general guidance on how to find and verify trusted wholesalers, or recommend distributors they’ve personally worked with, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your help.

That will never happen. No one is going to tell you where they source from. Also, you need to have authorization from each brand you are trying to sell (not distributor or supplier permission).

You are going about this backwards. If you want to be a business, find something you know about or enjoy. Then find out how to sell or create a business around that.
You wouldn’t open a store on Main Street and then ask the other business owners where they get their inventory or how they run their businesses, would you?

Hi,
I’m a brand owner based in Spain (EU), currently selling leather accessories such as wallets, bags and backpacks on Amazon in Europe.
One model that has worked well for us is partnering directly with experienced Amazon sellers who want to add a branded product line as a parallel business, instead of sourcing generic products.
In these cases, the brand owner provides:
- Registered brand (Brand Registry)
- Amazon-compliant invoices
- Consistent supply
- Product photography and assets
And the seller focuses on what they already know how to do: listings, ads and scaling on Amazon.
For sellers who already understand Amazon and want to diversify their portfolio with branded products (rather than generic), this can be a lower-risk way to test new categories.
Happy to share more details by DM if relevant.

Just my 2 cents. Look to whatever strengths you have. I mean, all of us has some specialized knowledge. Some wheelhouse. I came from shop that worked on compressors and pressure washers. I used my knowledge of that industry to stick my foot in a door. I did have to do a little of the old fake it till you make it. Once the door was open similar competitors came knocking. Then more. If I were in your shoes I wouldn't just look for any distributor/s.. Stick to your strengths. There must be something you know and understand more than most.
