Hey everyone,I just became a victim a terrifying new blackhat tactic that’s hurting small honest sellers. My competitor forged my signature to illegally transfer my U.S. trademark. It cost less that $300 to transfer. However, in order to get back, you need to hire an attorney cost you $400/ hours, costing anywhere $2500-4000, and waiting at least 20-30 days for the USPTO to restore my rights.
Meanwhile, the competitor register my trademark to his Amazon account and accuse me stealing his trademark. As a result, Amazon banned us on own listing, and suspended our account, and we lost december sales, about $30,000+. Now he enter my listing to selling fakes product to sabotage our hard built reviews. It looks like there is nothing to do unless USPTO restore your ownership.
I’m sharing this because I never imagined it could be this easy for fraudsters to hijack a trademark just like that. If anyone has experience dealing with something like this, I’d love to hear your advice. Any help or recommendations would mean a lot to me right now.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer. Please feel free to share or tag anyone who might be able to help. Let’s stand up against these underhanded tactics and protect honest businesses!
