Read onlySure glad I got out of FBA years ago. With the fees having gone way up and now Amazon going to ship a free product to the customer…good luck FBA’ers…
This process has been around for a couple years for FBA.
The way that it works is that Amazon creates a new order with 0 charge for the customer and then provides you with a “reimbursement” for the item.
You should not be out of pocket on that.

Just another step toward providing absolute customer satisfaction on their way to becoming the pipeline from manufacturer to consumer. Good luck being an Amazon seller at all in the near future, if you don’t fit their evolving model.
Replacement item IN LIEU of a full refund, and Amazon foots the re-shipping cost. That’s not such a bad deal for sellers, at least not for us.
Nothing too new. We get this all the time for our FBA returns. However every time there’s a return where they send the wrong items (which happens pretty often in our line of sales) we submit a case and usually amazon refunds us out of their pocket “Reimbursement” and we’re talking items worth over $150. We had to do it twice this month so far. Its the same process with this policy.
I do not understand whats wrong with Amazon creating a great environment for customer satisfaction and retain the customer for ever at no cost to sellers,
Yes there are few bad customers but overall there are great customers here. A total win win situation.
This is not new. Been there for few years. Amazon sets up a $0.00 order and eventually pays you for the item.

Your lack of understanding how FBA works, is the reason you’re floundering on Amazon.
FBA is the best thing that ever happened to our business, and I’m far from alone in that sentiment.
NOW WE’RE GIVING WAY 2 FREE PRODUCTS AT NO COST TO US? FREE REPLACEMENTS? FALSE ADVERTISING! ARE THEY PAYING OUR WHOSALE COSTS ON TWO ITEMS? Amazon is going downhill fast.
FBA is great for many things… not everything though. It’s kindof foolish not to embrace it and recognize when it’s valuable.
