Add to existing variation families from the Add Products page
We’re making it easier to add new and existing products to a variation family, directly from the Add Products page with our pre-filled spreadsheet, saving you time and reducing errors.
Now you can search for a product in Add Products and download the full variation family information, including existing variations and their attributes. Then, just fill in the required fields for your additional products, upload, and you're done.
To get started:
- Go to Add Products.
- Search for a product via the Search or Product IDs tab and click View Variations on the product information page.
- Select Add new variant(s) to create a new product variation or add existing standalone SKUs to your variation family or select Adding offer to selected variant(s) to create offers on product variations already in the family.
- Follow the instructions in the spreadsheet.

Variation Wizard going away.
How to check an existing ASIN that is not part of your inventory for existing child listings? Is "Add a Product" going to be the only way? No more bulk upload for adding new variations?

Especially considering that the vast majority of Amazon's "pro-seller" changes are anything but, I suppose it's worth making a note that this one is actually a good thing. Well done, Amazon!

I'm new seller here, and I feel this system is extremely stupid. I add variation when I created the product. put different colors, keep asking me sky while I was creating it. how do I get it if its new product? after I finished everything setting up, it only shows one color on the main page. no options for color chose. never options show up. even I have a parent item, shows both color pictures, all the children variation shows as same as the parent. shopping page only show one color option. every time I change the children color, parent photo change too. I never done of setting the variation. now have to make every single one color ...

I'm pretty shocked by the support for this change. I find the Variation Wizard much easier to use for our regular purposes than the new variation system.
If I want to easily find all ASINs under a parent that I didn't create (like this guy was also looking for), how am I supposed to do that? When I search that ASIN in Add a Product and click the "View Variations" button, the variations indeed come up, but there are a few limitations:
- All of them do not load at once; you have to scroll down to get to the bottom, and it's therefore not searchable until you do so - with very large parents this is not fun. (although I didn't hate the least to most recently created ordering, I do appreciate that this new one has a more logical ordering - for ours it's usually size (I'd prefer color, but it's something))
- The ASIN itself doesn't show up in this new wizard, usually just the UPC. I understand they're pretty interchangeable, but we usually want the ASIN. You can get to the ASIN by clicking on an individual item, but then you can't get back to where you left off in the variation list - it jumps you back to the top when you click the back button.
So I don't see how this is a significant improvement over the Wizard, and if anything, it's a downgrade.
