NEW SCAM INVOLVING TRANSPARENCY CODE SYSTEM NEED MOD HELP
HEY MODS! I need help. There is a new scam going on involving the transparency code system and I can't get support to do anything about it.
Case# 19236164561
Case# 19223014841
Here is how they are pulling off the scam.
1. Create a listing of a mass market Brand using their own UPC code and their own brand.
( I have backtracked the UPC on GS1 and it DOES NOT match the brand).
2. At the same time enroll the mass market product under their brand and their own UPC to the transparency code program.
(Note, the real mass market brand DOES NOT USE Transparency codes).
3. Then pull another known scam and get your item merged to a similar version of that mass market brand.
( DO NOT tell me this can't be done. It can be done using a csv. file product upload. ChatGPT can lay out in detail how to do it and any of us paying attention are seeing it everyday)
4. While pulling this switch get the Brand Name of the product switched to the Mass Market Brand name.
5. ALL SET, now one seller has the only transparency codes to a Mass Market Product that ......... DOES NOT HAVE TRANSPARENCY CODES TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!!!!
6. This seller has eliminated all legit competition with AMAZON'S HELP!!!
I have reported this to Amazon from every angle. I have shown them everything. I have shown them how the UPC codes don't match the brand on GS1. I have shown them how the GS1 shows that Brand as an Apartment in Brooklyn. I have shown them how the variations on the listing don't match the same brand by UPC code. I have shown them how one of the variations on the listing (the legit one) DOES NOT require transparency codes and the spoofed ASIN DOES require transparency codes.
It has been two weeks and nothing. I have lost 10 products to this scam.
I write to support everyday. You're never going to believe this but the replies have NOTHING to do with the issue at hand. At best support tells us we just need to supply the transparency codes. REALLY????? I should provide transparency codes that I just proved to you were fake?
I need help here. This is a big deal. I can't get support to even acknowledge the GS1 screenshots I'm showing them. Of course we get the standard "Escalated Support will e-mail you within 24 hours". blah, blah, blah. It's been two weeks and we have had crickets and gibberish.
Mods Please help????

Agree.
That's several violations and at least "deceptive, fraudulent and illegal".
Did you inform the brand owner?
Hopefully, the new change that says that listings without matching UPC will be deactivated will bring remedy.

On your place I would act as a customer. Buy the product and then complain with customer service (not seller support!) that the UPC on the packaging makes showing up a completely different brand and that you feel cheated. Don't say that you are a seller. Write an email, add a picture of the product showing the UPC and a screenshot of the GS1 search. Then return "not as described".
Give that a try. Amazon does anything for satisfying the customers. Although, that could take some weeks.
According to the new rules, Amazon has to take this listing down because the UPC doesn't match the ASIN.
