Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!
I hope you're all doing well and have been staying productive in your Amazon businesses. We’ve got an important announcement to make about our New Seller Community group. that will eventually impact everyone within this group.
Since the inception of the New Seller Community group back in fall of 2022, we knew this group would provide a foundation for new sellers to learn and ask questions about getting started with Amazon. The goal has always been to eventually “graduate” sellers from this group to the larger forum community. Although sellers within the group had always had the ability to pose questions outside of the group, we want to continue to have the New Seller Community be a place where the newest to Amazon sellers have the ability to interact and receive guidance.
As we enter the last stage of 2024, we are closing in on our first dates where sellers will have their access to this group removed. What does that mean exactly? Well, once a seller reaches 18 months of being part of the New Seller Community, they will be automatically removed from the group. The exception are the experienced, forum veterans who were brought into the group to graciously share their knowledge and expertise with the New Seller Community - this change will not impact you.
Now, don't worry - this doesn't mean you're losing access to the forum or that you won't still be able to engage with the broader Amazon seller community. It just means that after 18 months, you'll transition out of the "new seller" designation and into the larger seller community across the forum.
This change is designed to focus the group on helping sellers who are just starting out. After you hit that 18 month mark, you'll have gained a solid foundation and can continue to thrive in the wider seller forums. It's all part of helping everyone progress in their Amazon journeys.
The transition will happen automatically once you reach your allotted time here in the New Seller Community, so you don't need to do anything special. Once removed from the group, you will receive an in-forum notification of the removal to let you know. In the meantime, keep taking advantage of all the great resources and camaraderie in the New Seller Community!

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that address the key points around the 18-month tenure for the New Seller Community group:
Q: Do I need to take any action as a member of the New Seller Community group?
A: No, you don't need to do anything special. The transition from the New Seller Community to the general Amazon seller forum will happen automatically once you reach your 18-month membership mark. You will receive an in-forum notification of your graduation from the group. There are no actions that you'll need to take on your end.
--
Q: Can I still post and engage in the larger Amazon seller forum after I leave the New Seller Community?
A: Absolutely! The purpose of this change is not to remove you from the broader seller community. After your 18-month tenure is up and you transition out of the New Seller group, you'll still be able to participate fully in the general Amazon seller forums just like all of thousands of other sellers who are not a part of a group today.
We encourage you to continue being an active member of the wider seller community. You'll be able to share your experiences, ask questions, and collaborate with sellers at all different stages of their Amazon journeys.
--
Q: What is the reasoning behind this 18-month tenure?
A: The New Seller Community group was created to provide specialized support and resources for individuals who are new to selling with Amazon. After 18 months, we've found that most sellers have developed a solid foundation and are ready to engage beyond just the "new seller" designation and even have the ability to share their experiences and guidance with others.
Transitioning members out of the New Seller group at that 18-month mark allows us to keep the community focused on supporting those who are truly in the earliest stages of their Amazon selling journey. It ensures the group remains useful and welcoming for new sellers coming in.
Of course, just because you leave the New Seller group doesn't mean you lose access to the wealth of information and community support available to all Amazon sellers. You'll still be able to leverage those broader resources as your business continues to grow.

Unfortunately, Mod support is the only way to get real support on 99% of issues. Otherwise, we get the runaround and can't get a clear answer or action.
I think Amazon would be negligent to provide any less support to sellers than it currently does.

"Now, don't worry - this doesn't mean you're getting losing access to the forum"
Am I correct that the 'graduates' will still be able to go back and search for their posts and review any answers that are/were in the New Seller Group?
I know I can search Handmade without being a member so it would seem to be correct.
Will we still be able to get support from Mods on the forums?
Unfortunately, Mod support is the only way to get real support on 99% of issues. Otherwise, we get the runaround and can't get a clear answer or action.
I think Amazon would be negligent to provide any less support to sellers than it currently does.
