When it asked for my bank statement that's when I stopped.
The phone# that called me with a verfication code was 206XXXXXXX. Who do I contact about this?
There should be NO reason for a bank statement upload if AMZ is already depositing to my account.
just curious: where were you on May? good for you- it saved you sleepless weeks until verification is done.
we're mostly melted for this verification for the Inform act... it'd be a banner pop up on your main page on seller central or health performance or on your account page.
Just update the request info through your Amazon Account.
Actually, this is NOT a SCAM. Have you been reading the forums lately?
I submitted all the items in your email to get verified to comply with the NEW Consumer Inform Act passed by the government.
Follow the guidelines or Amazon may eventually deactivate your seller account. THIS IS REAL!!!!
The information is being asked for INSIDE your Amazon Account. If you don't comply, you will lose your account.
The INFORM Act is a government act, not an Amazon act. Yes Amazon's process was messy compared to others, but all sites must comply, therefor you must comply to continue selling.
Directly from the Inform Act:
Collection. Online marketplaces must collect bank account information, contact information, and a Tax ID number from high-volume third party sellers.
Since I cannot paste a link, you can find this info on the FTC website
If you fail to upload the documents, your account will be suspended.
We blacked out the value of the bank account and account numbers...and the document was accepted. So you can try that
I redacted all financial information. I sent them the statement in PDF form with my ID's and Account Number.
If you're worried, be sure you're on 2-step verification and periodically check your deposit information.
If you don't reverify by the deadline your seller account can be paused indefinitely until you do.

It's real. Yes, you must submit a bank statement. Also, you can black out / redact the monetary values but all other data must remain on the statement. Yes, they also need a photo ID. Search the forums for the INFORM Act. It is a real law passed by the United States Congress requiring online marketplaces to verify all sellers with documentation.
Yes, Amazon may know your bank account is real - but the US Government requires Amazon to have records that show all sellers selling more than $5,000 (?) in one month have actual human beings behind the accounts.
And yes, the process by which Amazon did the re-verification has been a bit chaotic. Good luck
I have ignored and deleted megatons of communications like this and have not noticed any negative effects of my having done so. If I researched everything I got, I'd be spending and wasting a lot of my valuable time.
When it tells you to go to Seller Central and navigate from there, how could it possibly be a scam? You need to check your account health a lot more often, there should be a notice there showing which bullet points you have remaining to be verified. Obviously, bank statement is one of them. There is no need to contact anyone, no one can do anything about this but you, so get cracking. Time will be up in two days and accounts (they say, anyway) will start getting shut down.
Hmmm maybe you should Google "Inform Act USA". Alternatively try Ebay!
Both - account holder and the address should be on the bank statement and this is classified as an official document which can prove your legitimity everywhere and in front of everyone - from organisation to institution.
What actually is your problem to provide the amz your statement?
