Have written a half-dozen appeals asking Amazon to remove the "noxious weed" restriction from our product, to which they simply respond with a form email that reiterates over and over the same response..."please update the product detail page with the scientific name and common name of your plant"... which would be fine, if we sold plants. But since we don't sell plants, or seeds, or plant products like fertilizer, then it's a bit difficult for us to comply.
Anyone have ideas on how to resolve this? The "restriction team" doesn't take phone calls, and the seller support team has so far been of zero value. The closest they've come to helping is to suggest how we should write our next appeal email...."maybe include some pictures?" So we take their suggestions, and then get another form-letter denial saying the exact same thing over and over, as if they didn't bother to read our appeal at all.
Is there any way to escalate this to a team that is able to apply the appropriate level of logic and reason to acknowledge that a mattress isn't a "live plant or seed"?

The same thing is happening to us "noxious weed" for a poly/cotton blend window curtain. We have submitted appeal after appeal, nobody looks at the product details page, only what their computer is prompting them to say. The lack of support from Amazon is totally disheartening and unprofessional.
They keep offering the same copy and paste response which doesn't even make sense as the listing is already reflecting the correct details on the page. Apparently Amazon wants me to make something up that's not true and then update the PDP with that information. Surely the wrong information will not delight the Amazon customers.
provide the asin so people can look and see what keywords may have triggered the "AI".
check the listing to verify that it's category path is correct
No way to get any support for SUCH appeal because SS does not read, or can not read, or try to read. Copy and paste templates will just give them paychecks.
As much fun as the lidocaine, and pesticide issues. Amazon is testing something and you are a guinea pig.
You can CC the executive office when you write seller support as you know useless. Jeff@amazon.com
I see cotton, bamboo, natural latex, and rubber trees.
Any or all of which could trigger a poorly-programmed bot.
I have 70 products and 20 of them have been flagged as noxious weed and I'm having the same run around with amazon. do this . no do that. transferring you to them; (email) lol bro what happened that everything got flagged as noxious weed
You need to ask for the product to be re-categorized in the appropriate category so you will not get questions that do not apply to that vein of products.
This isn't a helpful reply, but my first thought was "looks like the seeds have become weeds..." IYKYK
Welcome to who is really in charge at Amazon ROBOTS. You just hit the robot wall. The only thing you can do is continue to send in appeal emails. Most of the time the email goes "Sorry but we still don't have enough information..".
