Does inventory for same ASIN, different SKUs merge?

I have an ASIN that has two associated SKUs. I am wanting to delete one of the SKUs, but my question is around the inventory.

Even though I am sending all the inventory to 1 SKU, the inventory for both is always the same. It looks like the inventory is being double-counted. (Ex. right now both have 59 units in stock)

I am wanting to delete the SKU that we're not using. What will happen if it says I have 59 units in stock and I delete the SKU? Will they be passed over to the other SKU?

Good Evening @Seller_2PllAdtuOY4aO,

Apologies for the delayed response. I wanted to reach out to you regarding this discussion. I see that you spoke with Selling Partner Support regarding this issue on CASE ID ending in 6651 and they provided you with some feedback on how to add all the inventory under one SKU.

Did their feedback help or do you still require additional assistance regarding this process?

Feel free to follow up with us when you have a chance. If the issue is resolved, you can ignore this note and have a terrific rest of your Tuesday.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
