Accidentally Opened EU Seller Account – Now All My Accounts Are Deactivated

Hello Amazon Seller Community,

I need urgent help regarding my Amazon seller accounts.I accidentally opened a European (EU) seller account without realizing that a registered business is required.Since I do not own a business, I couldn’t provide the necessary documents, and Amazon deactivated my EU account due to missing business verification. The problem is that Amazon also deactivated my non-European seller accounts because they were linked to the EU account.

What I Have Done So Far:

I have now closed my European seller account to avoid further issues.

I tried submitting an appeal to reactivate my non-European accounts, but I have not received a clear response yet.

My Questions:

Will my non-European accounts be automatically reactivated now that my EU account is closed?

Is there a specific process to request reactivation after closing an EU account?

Has anyone faced a similar issue and successfully recovered their accounts?

I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences! Thank you in advance for your help.

If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.………….…

BUT, it’s a weekend and all the MODS are off partying 😁😁 so it may be early next week before you hear back! Actually, they are short staffed (on purpose) on weekends because Amazon doesn’t think anything bad happens then!

a registered business is required.

Also a Sole proprietor is a "Registered Business". Take information from your authorities how to proceed to receive a "Business license" for Sole proprietors. Also you need to request a VAT number for the European countries you want to sell in. You have to complete your European seller account. Since it is deactivated by Amazon you can NOT close it. And since ONE of your accounts (the European) is deactivated, eventual other ones will be it too - as you have seen now.

No, it's not YOU who did that but Amazon: BIG difference!
