Amazon Renewed - Restricted from Creating New Products

We have been approved and selling Amazon Renewed for several years. We sell Dell/HP/Supermicro/Lenovo renewed servers in multiple configurations.

Recently, we haven't been able to add new product configurations to Amazon Renewed and receive a message stating that we need brand approval to sell these items. We can tag onto any existing items, but cannot create a new product configuration. If we try to create a new product under our brand, the listing gets shut down due to brand infringement. We have authorization from the manufacturer to resell these products but the division that manages the brand won't add anyone as an authorized reseller - which is why we sell under Amazon Renewed. This limits us to selling only the specific configurations that have been created as products on Amazon Renewed. There are many products that aren't listed on Amazon Renewed. We've tried to suggest an item, but this normally doesn't work. Does anyone know how to add a new item under Amazon Renewed for a restricted brand? Amazon is just a small part of our business, but it has huge potential.

The actual message is: Brand Authorization Required: The ability to create or edit ASINs using this brand name is restricted to authorized sellers. You need to apply for approval to add or modify products for this brand.

Other people have added the product under generic, but we'd prefer not to do this.

Hello,

Amazon has made Amazon Renewed program so messy that it is now very challenging to selling in Amazon Renewed now. We are also Amazon Renewed sellers and have to deal with violations on a daily basis.

About your question, this issues is a bit complicated. I have read discussion on this and what other sellers does is if For example, they are selling Apple Ipad Renewed, they look for its UPC that is associated with that Ipad, then list that product in Amazon renewed. That way, they get a temporary permission to list Apple renewed products. It could be for 1 or 2 days or for a month and they list would list other Apple products until Amazon asks for Brand Approval again. You can check these approvals in Amazon selling application.

I am sorry if the above explanation seems confusing. If you have any questions, please ask and I will explain again.

Thank you.
