Good day, i had someone file a copyright infringement on one of my listings. I filed a counter notice and it was submitted approximately 8 days ago. On October 19th i submittd the counter notice. i received notice that it was received and would be sent to the falsely (competitor) reporting individual.. I just checked my account health and it shows "Status: Our evaluation is complete." submit new information... so i again submitted the counter notice. Why did i have to submit the counter notice twice and restart the process ?
Hello @Seller_GYgUJOt2AVaJO,
Thank you for reaching out on the forums.
I see that you would like some guidance with the current status of the DMCA counter notice you have submitted more than once.
Once you submit the DMCA counter notice this is sent over to the complaint issuer be processed and reviewed. This is going on in the background so you may see that the appeal status is "complete" but this is not the case. I suggest to wait until you receive a follow-up notification about the DMCA specifically.
So that I can check the details, can you please provide me with an associated case ID? This way, I can work with the appropriate teams to learn more about the actual status of the DMCA.
Here are some helpful resources about this topic that you can review in the meantime...

I am looking forward to your response. The forums community and I are here to support you.
Wishing you the best,

As @Levi_Dylan_Amazonsaid,
Sadly, this is supposed to happen in 14 days. but usually take 17-21 days (or even longer). I have no idea why Amazon requests us to submit new information. It should say something like, "awaiting review" or pending.
I suspect that resubmitting, restarts the process. So, I have been leaving these and just waiting for them to drop off (or until the OR sues you).
Levi, perhaps you can look into my complaint that I replied to 14 days ago. Complaint ID 16488805521

Note, that even if the copyrighted information is restored after you submit the DMCA, the RO can submit a NEW complaint for the exact same material. I've had an RO submit the complaint 3 times for a particular image. Funny story, I asked Amazon to delete the image several times, but Amazon refused to delete the image stating that only the RO can edit the PDP. So, RO didn't want the pictures up; I didn't want the pictures up; RO is the only one that could update the PDP, but RO, instead submitted multiple copyright complaints against my store and Amazon left the images up and yet I was somehow at fault. Frustrating.
