We received a message stating that our product does not comply with California Energy Commission (CEC) and, thus, cannot be sold in the state of California.

Our product is a filter that can be attached to faucets and it does not have any power or require a power cord/batteries.

It is not an electric/electronic appliance.

Despite this, we keep receiving the same response asking us to enter the "model name". And then we keep receiving the same response that Amazon cannot find our model name in the CEC.

What proof do we need to have to prove that this item is not required to be registered with the CEC?

We reported a dangerous product that violates Amazon's TOS 2 months ago, and due to Amazon's neglect, a customer's garage burned down during a fire that the product caused.

We have tried escalating this issue by email over the last 2 months to the following Amazon Executives and have had no response. Russ Grandinetti, Llew Mason, Dharmesh Mehta, Doug Herrington, Charles Wright.

According to Amazon’s Restricted Product Policy, certain products must meet minimum efficiency requirements determined by the California Energy Commission (CEC). It is the seller’s responsibility to ensure the product meets CEC minimum efficiency requirements and is registered in the MAEDbS when listing products on Amazon that are subject to CEC regulations. This product is NOT registered in the MAEDbs database.

Please remove these product detail pages and take action on the seller that is in violation of Amazon TOS and California Energy Commission requirements. The longer this continues, the more this is is hurting the trust of Amazon buyers and sellers on the Amazon Marketplace. Of course it is also endangering consumers!
