UNGATING ISSUES

Hello,

I’ve been trying to get ungated to sell a product on Amazon for the past two months, but I’ve had no success so far. I’ve submitted over four invoices from different suppliers, but my application has been declined each time. In my most recent attempt, I purchased the product directly from the brand itself—thinking that this would finally meet Amazon’s requirements—but I was auto-declined within seconds of submitting the invoice. When I appealed the decision, I received the following message from Amazon: “You have provided a document that is unacceptable for the applied category of products. We are unable to accept retail receipts, online order confirmations, packing slips, sales orders, pro forma invoices, or sales quotes for approval. Provide an invoice from a manufacturer, distributor, or your supplier that reflects the itemized list of goods that you bought.” I’m genuinely confused at this point because I believe the documents I’ve submitted meet Amazon’s criteria. I ensured they were legitimate invoices, clearly showing the supplier’s name and address, the date of purchase, and an itemized list of the product(s). Despite following all of Amazon's listed requirements, I keep receiving the same rejection with no clear explanation. I've tried reaching out to Amazon Seller Support numerous times for clarification, but I haven’t been able to get a real answer or any actionable guidance. It feels like I’m stuck in a loop with no way to move forward.

The ASIN I'm trying to get ungated for is B0BJFP96YC.

I would really appreciate it if someone could take a closer look at my case or point me in the right direction. I’m more than willing to provide any additional documentation if needed—I just need to know what specifically is wrong with what I’ve submitted so far. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

I'm guessing you're new to the Grocery category. We've been selling in the category for about a decade. Had no problems creating an offer. But, we're noticing that new sellers are often blocked, especially on name brand items.

Hello @Seller_xE9QftkwUxZwf- and thank you for seeking some guidance on Approvals here in the seller forums.

It is true that certain brands, categories, and products may require approval prior to listing items for sale, and approval from the brand may be required as well as approval from Amazon. It may also be the case that the brand, product or category is restricted, and our teams may not accept all applications for every product that we place selling restrictions on.

In case it is useful, please see the above help page detailing the approvals process, this page on sourcing a Letter of Authorization, and this Seller University video detailing invoice requirements for when you apply to sell, to help influence any further approval applications you submit in the future!

I hope this helps and thank you again for looking to the forums for some insight!

-Danny
