What is Self Ship Order?

Got an email from Amazon saying:

- we are approved for Self Ship Order

- the screen shot shows the screen for Seller Fulfuilled Orders

Seller Fulfilled Orders does not have the option of Self Ship

Aren't Seller Fulfilled Orders Self Ship anyway?

Confused with this email. Has anyone else received this email?

FIRST -- did the message come as an email? If it did, did you look at the identifying header information of the sender to see if it really is from Amazon?

Post the ENTIRE message (remove any personal information first) so people here can see exactly what they are saying.

Amazon messages are weird and need interpreting a lot of the time.

My interpretation is just that you have been approved to fulfill orders yourself.

However, I have never heard of this message. The only way it would make sense would be if you had the privilege revoked and it is being reinstated. Otherwise, as soon as your selling account is active, that approval is automatic and is never mentioned.

Sounds like someone wants you to click a link and sign in and if you did, you have likely been hacked.

The email you posted below (thanks for doing that) doesn't show the amazon.ae address that you mentioned so I'm guessing you removed the link.

".ae" is Dubai which I would have NO INTEREST in selling on due to the extreme shipping costs and other issues with international selling.

This is probably another sneaky way from Amazon to get sellers tied up even more in their web of shackles and fees.

I put it one step even worse than the 'Brazil' addition to my account that I had to put in vacation mode to avoid problems with.

They simply can't let sellers be sellers where the sellers want to be! Amazon trying to expand their empire makes Genghis Khan look like a choir boy.

I believe Self Ship means to deliver the item yourself (or from your own delivery network) instead of it going through a standard carrier. As far as I know they don't offer this option in the United States, however.

I got 2 identical emails regarding this today. I think it is because Amazon keeps adding countries to my dropdown and every time one shows up, I get an email that I think is automated to that country. Check your country drop-down and see if a middle-east (or any other) country showed up.
