DD+7 sure, but DD+22?
So there has been obviously, a lot of Seller comments regarding Amazon's recent DD+7 Deferred Payment scheme and we have struggled like most other sellers with this new payments restriction. It has created cash flow issues, more administrative time to manage tracking delivery dates, calculating DD+7 and of course looking for orders that have been delivered but we haven't been paid for.
So as we track and manage all this new process, we noticed that the majority of orders are indeed being paid along the DD+7 policy. Payment is Deferred and then Released once the 7 days pass from the delivery. A few orders go DD+8 which i'm assuming is a "next business day" thing.
However we had (3) order go longer than these timeframes, so as per the Forum discussions, and Amazon emails we opened a case for investigation. First level was an 1 hour long chat w (3) different agents who eventually took the issue offline for further research. The next day we received the template email response explaining the DD+7 policy and directing us to various FAQ's. We replied, we understood DD+7, and Max Delivery Day+7 but could you please explain why these (3) orders are DD+22?
Next day we received a pectinate email, yup there is DD+7, but there is also a magical, super secret Delivery Date Based Reserve Policy that goes beyond DD+7, which can hold payment for an "Extended Reserve period". No explanation as to why these 3 orders became flagged as a risk nor how long an "Extended Reserve Period" actually is. One order is now set to be Released on DD+24
Just wanted to pass this along as our experience or if any others Sellers have experienced this same occurrence

I've been a seller on Amazon for 23 years and haven't seen any money hit my account in a week now still waiting

You are making trouble for Amazon. The whole point of DD+7 (or 7-20) is that they get to keep your money and you can't track what's going on. Just go with the flow.

Time to double up on the BAY why the heck is anyone stupid enough to let a platform basically take your funds for 3+ weeks total BS! This will end Amazon!
.
Would assume Sacamazon is expecting some kind of public out lash against them and they want to protect themselves with seller funds!

Deferred payment is very misleading term for this policy - its actually COMPOUNDED deferred payment delay. One hold for DD + 7 days (could be 10-14 days) but then only a "release without disbursement", then a SECOND delay - waiting up to another 14 days for the actual disbursement depending on order shipment date. This is a compounded delay system which could be as much as a month wait for funds. During the month period, Amazon is making money on the seller's funds, and the seller suffers an additional loss of cash flow during the period. Not only a free loan from sellers but one that brings in more cash to Amazon on the backs of their own merchants.

We started on Mar 18th. Have not seen payment transferred.
Amazon has a lousy system and a lousy team, yet they frequently change their algorithms and policies. Each change results in system failure/breakdown/crash.

When exactly did your standard order payments start going into a deferred status? Before March 12?
Is DD + 22 projected ("estimated release date") or actual?
Can you screenshot exact language Amazon used regarding the secret extra reserve period in their email?

I just started receiving the daily payouts again yesterday after a week of nothing. First one was about 15% of what my normal (pre DD+7) payout would be. Today I initiated one that is about 78% of a normal payout. Im thinking in a few days it should be up in the 90% range, and then back to normal in a month or so (for the very few orders from Alaska or HI etc).
I have always had daily payouts and the way it has always looked for me on the payment screen is that it will ALWAYS show the 14 day timeframe, but I disregard that, because I can do "daily" disbursements (every 24 hours exactly) for what is available. Until now what was available was eveything, so it would go to $0 each day. Now theres a lot of $ Amazon is holding onto.
For instance Yesterday after disbursing it said "Transfer of $$.$$$ scheduled to initiate on 4/14/2026"
today after i initiated it says 4/15/2026
Tomorrow, after I initiate it will say 4/16/26, etc, etc.
So I can disburse each day, but the 14 day window is just the automatic one that happens if I dont manually do it.
Long story short you will be back to your same payment amounts but it will take a month or so from day 7 to get through the S curve back up to 100%.
Pro tip for daily payouts from a long time user of them, if you want your money as fast as possible, plan to do 6 a week. Its on a strict 24 hour cycle. If you do one at 8am, then the next day at 1pm, the 3rd day you will need to wait till after 1pm, etc. So it will push forward in the day as the week goes by. If you do it every other day you wont need to think about this.

Amazon has been talking about DD+7 for almost a year, which means some people have been working on this project for a year. Yet they still cannot launch and get it right timely. Behind schedule and over budget???

This whole DD+7 thing is insane, they get to keep our money, yet, all refunds, all shipping labels purchased and all shipping labels for any returns are deducted from the standard balance, not the reserve, so once i get to a payout, i get less money, yet have to wait longer for new money, this is so bad and sucks

I was supposed to have my disbursement last Sunday but it never happened. Now I have to wait for the next two Sundays. I have only been able to do two tiny Request Payments. Amazon is a criminal organization.
