WATCH OUT for a recurring phishing message being sent to people who post on these forums.

The pattern: shortly after posting, you'll get a reply or private message from someone claiming they had the exact same issue, that a stranger from this forum privately helped them resolve it for free, and that you should email a personal-looking address (not an official amazon.com domain) with your Case ID in the subject line to get help.

This is not Amazon Support. Legitimate Amazon staff do not resolve seller cases over personal/outside email addresses, and they don't operate through random forum DMs. This looks like a scripted phishing attempt targeting sellers with open, unresolved claims — likely to harvest account/case details or run a fee-based "fixer" scam.

If you get a message like this: don't email the address, don't share your Case ID or account details, and report the message to forum moderators. Only work your case through official Seller Support channels and verified Amazon staff replies on this forum.

Posting this because I've received the same message multiple times after posting about an active case, and wanted other sellers dealing with similar issues to be aware.

private messages are disabled on the platform. If they contact you via buyer-seller messaging, report the message to Amazon. if they contact you via e-mail, report the message as "phishing attempt" or spam from your E-mail message.
