We have AHT and SSA enabled on all products which all have a 2 day handle time.
Today, we went to purchase our labels and all show "AT RISK" for late delivery for USPS Ground Advantage (less than 1lb). Amazon used USPS Ground Advantage (less than 1lb) to give the estimated deliver by date of April 7, 2025 on all of these orders. When we go to purchase the label, Amazon Buy Shipping is estimating the delivery date to be April 9, 2025 when using USPS Ground Advantage (less than 1lb).
This is dead wrong. How can Amazon use our shipping method to determine the ship by date for an order and then say that the order won't make it there when you go to buy the label if you use the shipping method that was used to determine the ship by date?
I was just coming on here to see if others were having this problem. Yes all of my orders are saying late delivery risk as well for USPS ground advantage for orders that have to be shipped today. The system is definitely broken.
@KJ_Amazon @Cooper_Amazon
Could either of you please look into this Amazon Buy Shipping issue?
We can't ship all of our orders as AT RISK because of a glitch and risk metric hits when all of the control on this issue lies with Amazon.
We are experiencing this too with 83 of our 111 orders this morning. Seems like they haven't adjusted one of there algorithms to match the other and with the new USPS service standards in rural areas that started April 1. When this happens it breaks our ability to use our 3rd party shipping label service and we have to print manually on Amazon. It slows things down so much. @KJ_Amazon any chance of getting the Buy Shipping algorithm and API fixed today so we can ship these orders normally? The Delivery Promise algorithm and the Buy Shipping should always match their estimates to each other. These should all be covered with OTDR and Claims protection, but will not be if we ship as is. yes, i had an order today from Michigan to Tennessee and my only USPS options were expeditied (priority, etc.).
I only have Ground Advantage selected as services I use.
The order used Ground Advantage to calculate the delivery date, but Amazon only offered me Priority options!
HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PRICE OUR ITEMS WHEN WE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT SHIPPING SERVICE WE WILL BE FORCED TO USE?
I've already refunded three orders this week over this nonsense, I refuse to ship unless I get protected ground advantage options when the buyer selects standard shipping.
Earlier this week I got an order in at 12:06 PM and it had to be shipped the same day or it was a late ship ding to my metrics!!!!!! WT#? This is insane.
FURTHERMORE, I am looking at some past orders that show SHIPPED LATE, despite the fact that they were in fact shipped on time as evidenced by label purchase time stamp and RECEIPT AT USPS clearly showing they picked up on the ship-by date....again, WT#??????
@Seller_EkbLZUYSpmJEySeeing the exact same thing. Even for orders that ship tomorrow! Ship time is well within stated ship time but all orders are considered late when buying labels.
What I noticed previously - if I attempted to purchase bulk labels after 5pm for orders that ship tomorrow, it is automatically showing late delivery even though the shipping service calculated delivery promise clearly shows that it is well within the ship by date/time. If I purchase each label individually, then it seems to be fine.
But... Today something changed and there is a huge flaw in the system. Now all labels are showing late delivery in bulk and individual. Guess my OTDR is going to be drastically affected by this technical issue. I have to ship today and I am not using anything other than the Ground Advantage that was calculated at the time of purchase.
I wonder if this has something to do with it, as it fit's the April 1 dates...
Postmaster strikes deal with DOGE, 10K jobs to be cut
In March, then-U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said he signed a deal with the Department of Government Efficiency, headed by Elon Musk.
The department had been exempt from DOGE cuts, but DeJoy reportedly told Congress in a letter that USPS would cut 10,000 jobs over the next month through a voluntary early retirement program.
The postal service said, "all packages will benefit from more reliable service." The 2-5 day range for USPS Ground Advantage will stay the same (doubtful). However, some shipping product will have a slower delivery range going forward.
Changes take affect starting April 1 2025
The next changes are set to take effect on July 1. More information will be released closer to that date.
I just sent a package from the center of my state to the border of my state....5 days!
Same problems here. Late Delivery Risk for most shipments today.
